IN VOLUNTARY LIQUIDATION

In the matter of the Companies Act, 1933, and in the matter of G. PAGE AND SONS, LIMITED (Nelson) (in Voluntary Liquidation).

NOTICE is hereby given that a general meeting of the above-named company will be held at the residence of Mr. G. L. Page, Cambria Street, Nelson, on Tuesday, 24th September, 1946, at 2 p.m., for the purpose of having an account laid before the meeting showing the manner in which the winding-up has been conducted and the assets of the company disposed of, and of hearing any explanation that may be given by the liquidator, and also of determining by extraordinary resolution the manner in which the books, accounts, and documents of the company and of the liquidator thereof shall be disposed of.

NOTICE OF CHANGE OF SURNAME

I, BERTRAND DOUGLAS VENNING VENNING-SLATER, of Taradale, Carpenter, now lately called BERTRAND DOUGLAS VENNING SLATER, hereby give notice that on the 5th day of August, 1946, I, for and on behalf of myself, my wife, and my children and remoter issue, formally and absolutely renounced and relinquished and abandoned the use of my said surname of SLATER and then assumed and adopted and determined thenceforth on all occasions whatsoever to use and subscribe the name of VENNING-SLATER instead of the said name of SLATER: And I give further notice that by a deed-poll dated the 5th day of August, 1946, duly executed and filed in the Supreme Court of New Zealand at Napier on the 16th day of August, 1946, I, for and on behalf of myself, my wife, and my children and remoter issue, formally and absolutely renounced and abandoned the said surname of SLATER and declared that I had assumed and adopted and intended thenceforth upon all occasions whatsoever to use and subscribe the name of VENNING-SLATER instead of SLATER, and so as to be at all times thereafter called, known, and described by the name of VENNING-SLATER exclusively.

NOTICE is hereby given that the Registrar of Friendly Societies has, pursuant to section 70 of the Friendly Societies Act, 1909, by writing under his hand dated this 3rd day of September, 1946, cancelled the registry of Court Redclyffe, No. 7083, of the Hawke's Bay District Branch of the Ancient Order of Foresters of New Zealand Friendly Society No. 356 (Register No. 356(I)/12), held at Taradale, on the ground that the said branch has ceased to exist.
