Land in Otago Land District for Selection on Renewable Lease

District Lands and Survey Office,
Dunedin, 3rd September, 1946.

NOTICE is hereby given that the undermentioned section is open for selection on renewable lease under the Land Act, 1924; and applications will be received at the District Lands and Survey Office, Dunedin, up to 4 o’clock p.m. on Monday, 11th November, 1946.
Applicants should appear personally for examination at the District Lands and Survey Office, Dunedin, on Wednesday, 13th November, 1946, at 10 o’clock a.m., but if any applicant is unable to attend he may be examined by any other Land Board or by any Commissioner of Crown Lands.
The ballot will be held immediately upon conclusion of the examination of applicants, and the successful applicant is required to pay immediately at conclusion of ballot a deposit comprising the first half-year’s rent, broken-period rent, lease fee, and amount of weighting for improvements.
NOTE.—This section is offered in terms of section 153 of the Land Act, 1924, which provides that no right to any mineral under the surface shall pertain to the lessee, whose rights shall be to the surface soil only.

Vincent County.—Fraser Survey District.—Otago Mining District
SECTION 103, Block I: Area, 4 acres 2 roods 38 perches. Capital value, £10; half-yearly rent, 4s.
Weighted with £4 13s. (payable in cash) for improvements comprising fencing.
The section is situated two miles from Alexandra Post-office by formed and gravel road; it comprises half an acre good quality soil, half an acre light and somewhat gravelly, and the balance poor with rock outcrop. Approximately half the area is fairly level, the remainder somewhat broken. Only scabweed is in evidence, but noxious weeds in the shape of briar and gorse are inclined to spread. The section is not watered, but arrangements can be made with the Public Works Department to supply irrigation water.
