Land and Easements over Land taken for Defence Purposes in Block III, Paritutu Survey District

A PROCLAMATION
Pursuant to the Public Works Act, 1928, I, Lieutenant-General Sir Bernard Cyril Freyberg, the Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, do hereby proclaim and declare that the land described in the First Schedule hereto is hereby taken for defence purposes; and also do hereby declare that an easement is hereby taken for defence purposes over the land described in the Second Schedule hereto vesting in His Majesty the King full and free liberty, right, license, and authority in perpetuity to construct and use a right-of-way, with the right for His Majesty's servants, agents, and workmen from time to time and at all times hereafter to go, pass, and repass with or without horses or other animals or vehicles over the land described in the Second Schedule hereto, and to maintain, repair, and keep open the said right-of-way for the purpose of providing access to the land first described in the First Schedule hereto; and also do hereby declare that an easement is hereby taken for defence purposes over the land described in the Third Schedule hereto vesting in His Majesty the King full and free liberty, right, license, and authority in perpetuity to lay, construct, place, and maintain a line of cables under the land described in the said Third Schedule and also do hereby declare that the aforesaid easements shall be held appurtenant to the land first described in the First Schedule hereto; and also do hereby declare that an easement is hereby taken for defence purposes over the land described in the Fourth Schedule hereto vesting in His Majesty the King full and free liberty, right, license, and authority in perpetuity to lay, construct, place, and maintain a line of cables under the land described in the Fourth Schedule hereto, and that such easement shall be held appurtenant to the land taken for the use, convenience, and enjoyment of an aerodrome by Proclamation dated the sixth day of March, one thousand nine hundred and thirty-nine, published in the New Zealand Gazette of the ninth day of the same month, at page 346, and registered in the Land Registry Office at New Plymouth under No. 1371.

Given under the hand of His Excellency the Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, and issued under the Seal of that Dominion, this 28th day of August, 1946.

Leasehold Estates or Interests in Land taken for Electric Works in the City of Auckland

A PROCLAMATION
Pursuant to the Public Works Act, 1928, I, Lieutenant-General Sir Bernard Cyril Freyberg, the Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, do hereby proclaim and declare that the leasehold estate or interest in the land first described in the Schedule hereto, held by Smith and Smith, Limited, a company duly incorporated under the Companies Act, 1933, and having its registered office at Wellington, under and by virtue of memorandum of lease registered in the Land Registry Office at Auckland under number 17211, and that the leasehold estate or interest in the land secondly and thirdly described in the Schedule hereto, held by the said company under and by virtue of a certain unregistered deed of lease dated the thirteenth day of November, one thousand nine hundred and forty, made between the said company and His Majesty the King, are hereby taken for electric works, and shall vest in the Auckland Electric-power Board as from the date herein-after mentioned; and I do also declare that this Proclamation shall take effect on and after the ninth day of September, one thousand nine hundred and forty-six.
