Notice of Intention to take Land in Block II, Town of Oban, for a Post-office
NOTICE is hereby given that it is proposed, under the provisions
of the Public Works Act, 1928, to execute a certain public
work—to wit, the construction of a post-office—and for the purposes
of such public work the land described in the Schedule hereto is
required to be taken: And notice is hereby further given that the
plan of the land so required to be taken is deposited in the post-office
at Half-moon Bay and is there open for inspection; and that all
persons affected by the execution of the said public work or by the
taking of the said land should, if they have any well-grounded
objections to the execution of the said public work or to the taking
of such land, set forth the same in writing, and send such writing,
within forty days from the first publication of this notice, to the
Minister of Works at Wellington.

APPROXIMATE area of the piece of land required to be taken:
39·2 perches.
Being part Lot 1, D.P. 3505, part Sections 1 and 2, Block II, Town
of Oban (Southland R.D.).
In the Southland Land District; as the same is more

the Schedule hereto for housing purposes: And notice is hereby
further given that the plan of the land required to be taken is
deposited in the post-office at Westport and is there open for
inspection; and that all persons affected by the taking of the said
land should, if they have any well-grounded objections to the
taking of such land, set forth the same in writing, and send such
writing, within forty days from the first publication of this notice,

IN pursuance of the powers conferred upon me by the Post and
Telegraph Act, 1928 (hereinafter termed the said Act), and by
the regulations made on the 12th May, 1914, and published in the
New Zealand Gazette of the 21st May, 1914, the following officers,
at the addresses set against their names, are hereby appointed
transmitting and receiving officers for the purpose of dealing with
all notices by telegraph sent under the said Act or regulations, and
of signing such certificates in relation to the service of any such
notices as are required or authorized to be signed or given under the
said Act or the regulations aforesaid:—

Declaring Area to be a Closely Populated Locality for the Purposes of the Motor-vehicles Amendment Act, 1936, Section 3
IN terms of section 3 of the Motor-vehicles Amendment Act,
1936, the Minister of Transport doth hereby declare the area
described in the Schedule hereto to be a closely populated locality
for the purposes of the said section to the intent that a person driving
any motor-vehicle on any road, street, or other place to which the
public have access therein shall be subject to the maximum speed
limit of thirty miles an hour fixed by the said section.
SCHEDULE
SITUATED within Southland County—
All that area adjacent to Invercargill City consisting of the
Gore-Invercargill State Highway No. 62, commencing at
its junction with Isabella Street and terminating at the
eastern boundary of Invercargill City as now constituted,
the whole area being indicated in green on the plan marked
TT. 1688, deposited in the office of the Transport Depart-
ment at Wellington.

in a south-easterly direction and terminating at a point
15 chains measured along the said State highway in a
south-easterly direction from the Kai Iwi School, the
whole area being indicated on the plan marked TT. 1689,
deposited in the office of the Transport Department at
Wellington, and thereon coloured green.
