Additional Land at Turakina taken for the Purposes of the
Foxton - New Plymouth Railway

A PROCLAMATION

IN pursuance and exercise of the powers and authorities vested in
me by the Public Works Act, 1928, and of every other power
and authority in anywise enabling me in this behalf, I, Lieutenant-
General Sir Bernard Cyril Freyberg, the Governor-General of the
Dominion of New Zealand, do hereby proclaim and declare that the
land described in the Schedule hereto is hereby taken for the
purposes of the Foxton–New Plymouth Railway.

SCHEDULE

APPROXIMATE area of the piece of land: 1 rood 6·4 perches.
Being part Lot 1, D.P. 3753, being part Section 33, Turakina
District.

Situated in Block XV, Ikitara Survey District, Rangitikei
County. (S.O. 21436.)

In the Wellington Land District; as the same is more parti-
cularly delineated on the plan marked L.O. 8398, deposited in
the office of the Minister of Railways at Wellington, and thereon
coloured orange.

Given under the hand of His Excellency the Governor-General
of the Dominion of New Zealand, and issued under the
Seal of that Dominion, this 5th day of August, 1946.

and authority in anywise enabling me in this behalf, I, Lieutenant-

Dominion of New Zealand, do hereby proclaim and declare that
the land described in the Schedule hereto is hereby taken for the
purposes of the Foxton – New Plymouth Railway.

cularly delineated on the plan marked L.O. 8425, deposited in the
office of the Minister of Railways at Wellington, and thereon
coloured orange.

Given under the hand of His Excellency the Governor-General
of the Dominion of New Zealand, and issued under the
Seal of that Dominion, this 9th day of August, 1946.

Allocating Land taken for a Railway to the Purposes of a Road at
Kai Iwi

A PROCLAMATION

WHEREAS the land described in the Schedule hereto forms
part of land taken for the purposes of the Foxton–New
Plymouth (Kai Iwi ballast-pit siding) Railway, and it is considered
desirable to allocate such land to the purposes of a road:

Now, therefore, I, Lieutenant-General Sir Bernard Cyril
Freyberg, the Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand,
in pursuance and exercise of the powers and authorities vested in
me by section two hundred and twenty-six of the Public Works Act,
1928, and of every other power and authority in anywise enabling
me in this behalf, do hereby proclaim and declare that the land
described in the Schedule hereto shall, upon the publication hereof
in the New Zealand Gazette, become a road, and that the said road
shall be under the control of the Waitotara County Council, and
shall be maintained by the said Council in like manner as other
public highways are controlled and maintained by the said Council.

APPROXIMATE area of the piece of land: 0·5 perch.
Being part railway land in Proclamation 542.

Situated in Block XI, Nukumaru Survey District, Waitotara
County. (S.O. 21423.)

In the Wellington Land District; as the same is more
particularly delineated on the plan marked L.O. 8425, deposited in
the office of the Minister of Railways at Wellington, and thereon
coloured blue.

Given under the hand of His Excellency the Governor-General
of the Dominion of New Zealand, and issued under the
Seal of that Dominion, this 9th day of August, 1946.
