Domain Board appointed to have Control of the Matiere Domain

At the Government House at Wellington, this 31st day of July, 1946
Present:
HIS EXCELLENCY THE GOVERNOR-GENERAL IN COUNCIL
IN pursuance and exercise of the powers conferred by section forty-four of the Public Reserves, Domains, and National Parks Act, 1928, His Excellency the Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council of the said Dominion, doth hereby appoint
Albert James Adam,
Keith Wallace Baker,
Robert William Dench,
John Wagner Hannan,
Keith McAllum,
Clarence Thomas McGovern, and
Jack Rowland Turner
to be the Matiere Domain Board, having control of the land described in the Schedule hereto; and doth hereby appoint Tuesday, the third day of September, one thousand nine hundred and forty-six, at eight o'clock p.m. as the time when, and the Matiere Hall as the place where, the first meeting of the Board shall be held.

Revoking the Reservation over Portion of a Reserve in the Borough of Opunake, Taranaki Land District

ORDER IN COUNCIL

HIS EXCELLENCY THE GOVERNOR-GENERAL IN COUNCIL
IN pursuance and exercise of the powers and authorities conferred upon him by subsection one (b) of section seven of the Public Reserves, Domains, and National Parks Act, 1928, His Excellency the Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council of the said Dominion, doth hereby revoke the reservation for railway and town belt purposes over the land described in the Schedule hereto; and doth hereby declare that the said land, being vested in the Crown, is Crown land available for disposal under the Land Act, 1924.

All that area in the Borough of Opunake, containing by admeasurement 3 roods 13·52 perches, more or less, being part of Section 11, Opunake Town Belt. (S.O. plan 8185.)

PURSUANT to the authority conferred upon me by the three-hundred-and-first section of the Justices of the Peace Act, 1927, I, Lieutenant-General Sir Bernard Cyril Freyberg, the Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, do hereby notify and declare that the persons whose names are set out in the Schedule hereto, being officers in the service of the Crown holding the offices stated opposite their names respectively in the said Schedule, are authorized to take and receive statutory declarations under the three-hundred-and-first section of the Justices of the Peace Act, 1927.

Lands temporarily reserved in the Auckland, Wellington, and Canterbury Land Districts

WHEREAS by the three-hundred-and-fifty-ninth section of the Land Act, 1924, it is enacted that the Governor-General may from time to time set apart temporarily as reserves, notwithstanding that the same may be then held under pastoral license, any Crown lands which in his opinion are required for any of the purposes in the said section mentioned:
And whereas by the seventy-first section of the Land for Settlements Act, 1925, it is further provided that the Governor-General may from time to time, as he thinks fit, set aside reserves for any specified public purpose out of lands acquired under the last-mentioned Act, provided that no land so acquired shall be set aside for endowments:
Now, therefore, I, Lieutenant-General Sir Bernard Cyril Freyberg, the Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, in pursuance and exercise of the powers and authorities conferred upon me by the said Acts, do hereby temporarily reserve the lands in the Auckland, Wellington, and Canterbury Land Districts, described in the Schedule hereunder written, for the purposes specified at the end of the respective descriptions of the lands so intended to be temporarily reserved.

Member appointed to Tuatapere Scenic Board

WHEREAS by a Warrant dated the twenty-third day of May, one thousand nine hundred and forty-four, and published in the Gazette of the twenty-fifth day of that month, the control of certain reserves in the Southland Land District, known as the Tuatapere Scenic Reserve, was vested in certain persons therein named, who were by the said Warrant constituted a special Board by the name of the Tuatapere Scenic Board, in pursuance of section thirteen of the Scenery Preservation Act, 1908: And whereas it is desirable that Colin Sutton Atkinson should be appointed a member of the said Board in place of John Ebenezer Chaplin, resigned:
Now, therefore, His Excellency the Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, in pursuance and exercise of the powers conferred on him by section thirteen of the Scenery Preservation Act, 1908, and of all other powers and authorities enabling him in this behalf, doth hereby appoint the said
Colin Sutton Atkinson
to be a member of the Tuatapere Scenic Board constituted by the Warrant dated the twenty-third day of May, one thousand nine hundred and forty-four, hereinbefore referred to, in place of the said John Ebenezer Chaplin.
