Price Order No. 588 (Amending Price Order No. 317) (Apples and Pears)
PURSUANT to the powers conferred on it by the Control of Prices Emergency Regulations 1939,* the Price Tribunal, acting with the authority of the Minister of Industries and Commerce, doth hereby make the following amending Price Order :—

This Order may be cited as Price Order No. 588, and shall be read together with and deemed part of Price Order No. 317† (hereinafter referred to as the principal Order).

This Order shall come into force on the 5th day of August, 1946.

The First and Second Schedules to the principal Order, as set out in Price Orders No. 577‡ and No. 573§, are hereby revoked, and the following Schedules substituted therefor respectively :—

Notice to Persons affected by Applications for Licenses under Part III of the Industrial Efficiency Act, 1936
Manufacture for Sale of Footwear
Pitmet Footwear, Ltd., C.P.O. Box 1551, Auckland, has applied for an extension of its existing license so as to permit the manufacture of women’s and children’s utility footwear by the machine-sewn process.
Radio-manufacturing Industry
A. D. Ripley, 11 Customs Street West, Auckland, has applied for a license to manufacture radios.
Retail Sale and Distribution of Motor-spirit
D. A. Chisholm, 88 Gore Street, Bluff, has applied for a license to resell motor-spirit from one pump to be installed on the kerbside facing garage premises at 88 Gore Street, Bluff.
J. K. Wooldridge, 9 Stafford Street, Dunedin, has applied for a license to resell motor-spirit from six pumps to be installed on proposed service-station premises on the Main South Road opposite the intersection of the road to Brighton and Taieri Mouth, Green Island.
F. H. McFarlane, Matamata, has applied for permission to shift four pumps from their present position on garage premises in Firth Street, Matamata, to a position on the kerbside facing the garage premises.
W. J. Perkins, Blenheim, has applied for a license to resell motor-spirit from four pumps to be installed on proposed new service-station premises at the corner of Maxwell Road and Scott Street, Blenheim.
Enright Bros., corner of Seymour and Arthur Streets, Blenheim, have applied for a license to resell motor-spirit from one pump to be installed on garage premises at the corner of Seymour and Arthur Streets, Blenheim.
J. A. Biggs, 7 David Street, Palmerston North, has applied for a license to resell motor-spirit from one pump to be installed on garage premises at 7 David Street, Palmerston North.
P. W. Manson, P.O. Box 10, Katikati, has applied for a license to resell motor-spirit from one pump to be installed on garage and service-station premises at Katikati.
Applicants and other persons considering themselves to be materially affected by the decisions of the Bureau of Industry on these applications should, not later than the 15th day of August, 1946, submit any written evidence and representations they may desire to tender. All communications should be addressed to the Secretary, Bureau of Industry, C.P.O. Box 3025, Wellington.
