At the Government House at Wellington, this 24th day of
July, 1946
Present:

IN pursuance and exercise of the powers conferred by section
forty-four of the Public Reserves, Domains, and National
Parks Act, 1928, His Excellency the Governor-General of the
Dominion of New Zealand, acting by and with the advice and
consent of the Executive Council of the said Dominion, doth hereby
appoint

The member for the Takapuna Riding of the Waitamata
County Council, ex officio,
James Alexander Aitken,
Charles Henry Cuthbert,
Selwyn Douglas Chalmers,
George Raymond Newdick,
Charles Ruffo Morrell,
Arthur Edward Hardeastle,
Frederick James Mason, and
William John Webb
to be the Mairangi Bay Domain Board, having control of the land
described in the Schedule hereto; and doth hereby appoint
Saturday, the tenth day of August, one thousand nine hundred
and forty-six, at quarter to eight o'clock p.m., as the time when,
and the Mairangi Bay Hall, as the place where, the first meeting
of the Board shall be held.

SCHEDULE
NORTH AUCKLAND LAND DISTRICT.—MAIRANGI BAY DOMAIN
ALL that area containing by admeasurement 4 acres O roods 4.76
perches, more or less, being Lot 165, part Lot 104, and recreation
reserve shown as plantation reserve on plan 13311, being parts
of Allotments 181 and 182, Takapuna Parish, and Lot 94 on plan
18893, being part Allotment 194, Takapuna Parish (both plans
being deposited in the office of the District Land Registrar at
Auckland), situated in Block IV, Waitemata Survey District,
bounded: Towards the north-east by Lots 108 and 115 on plan
13311 aforesaid, 667.85 links; towards the south-east by Ramsgate
Terrace, 550.2 links; towards the south-west by parts Allotments
N.W. 193 and S.E. 194, Takapuna Parish, 555.38 links; towards
the south-east by part Allotment S.E. 194, Takapuna Parish,
399.25 links; towards the south-west by part Allotment N.W.
194, Takapuna Parish, 349.92 links; towards the north by
Lots 91, 92, and 93 on plan 18893 aforesaid, 273.0 links; towards
the west by Lot 93 aforesaid, 275.0 links; towards the north-east
by Hastings Street, 75.12 links; towards the north-west, north-
west, and again north-east by other part Lot 104 on plan 13311
aforesaid, 465.0, 10.6, and 25.85 links respectively; towards the
north-west by other part Lot 104, Lots 105, 106, and 107 on plan
13311 aforesaid, 479.41 links; again towards the south-west
by Lot 107 on plan 13311 aforesaid, 300.0 links; again towards
the north-west by Hastings Street, 50.0 links: be all the afore-
said linkages more or less. As the same is more particularly
delineated on the plan marked L. and S. 1/957B, deposited in the
Head Office, Department of Lands and Survey, at Wellington,
and thereon edged red. (North Auckland plans D.P. 18893
and 13311.)

Also all that parcel of land containing 2 acres 1 rood 32.5
perches, more or less, being part north-western portion of Allot-
ment 193 and part south-eastern portion of Allotment 194 of the
Parish of Takapuna, bounded: Commencing at a point being
the north-western corner of Ramsgate Terrace ; thence north-
westerly along the south-western boundary of Lot 165 and part
Lot 104 on a plan deposited in the Deeds Registry Office at
Auckland as No. 13311, 555.38 links; thence again in a south-
westerly direction along the south-eastern boundary of Lot 94
on a plan deposited as aforesaid as No. 18893, 399.25 links;
then south-easterly on a bearing of 156° 22' 20" 674.03 links ;
thence north-easterly on a bearing of 230° 416.12 links to the
commencing point. As the same is more particularly delineated
on the plan marked L. and S. 1/957, deposited in the Head Office,
Department of Lands and Survey, at Wellington, and thereon
bordered green.

Revoking Delegation of Power of Appointing Trustees for Belfast
Cemetery

ORDER IN COUNCIL
At the Government House at Wellington, this 24th day of
July, 1946
Present:

His Excellency The Governor-General in Council
Pursuant to the Cemeteries Act, 1908, His Excellency the
Governor-General, acting by and with the advice and consent
of the Executive Council, doth hereby revoke the Order in Council
made on the eighteenth day of September, one thousand nine
hundred and thirty-three, and published in the Gazette on the
twenty-first day of the same month at page 2429, whereby powers
of appointing and removing trustees in respect of the Belfast
Cemetery were delegated to the Waimairi County Council.

Trustees for Belfast Cemetery appointed

Pursuant to section fifty-five of the Cemeteries Act, 1908, I,
Lieutenant-General Sir Bernard Cyril Freyberg, the Governor-
General of the Dominion of New Zealand, do hereby appoint the
Waimairi County Council
to be the trustees of the cemetery within the meaning of the said
Act known as the Belfast Cemetery, being the land described in the
Schedule hereto, and to have the control and management thereof.

SCHEDULE
BELFAST CEMETERY
SECTION 3643, Block VII, Christchurch Survey District, Canterbury
Land District : Area, 5 acres, more or less.
As witness the hand of His Excellency the Governor-General,
this 23rd day of July, 1946.

Order under Section 6 of the Visiting Forces Act, 1939

Pursuant to subsection five of section six of the Visiting
Forces Act, 1939, I, Lieutenant-General Sir Bernard Cyril
Freyberg, the Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand,
do hereby make the following order:-

  1. The Military Forces of New Zealand serving as part of the
    British Commonwealth Occupation Force are hereby declared for
    the purposes of the above-mentioned section six to be serving
    together and acting in combination with the naval, military, and
    air forces of His Majesty raised in the United Kingdom.

  2. This order shall be in substitution for paragraph one of the
    order under section six of the Visiting Forces Act, 1939, made on
    the ninth day of May, one thousand nine hundred and forty-six,
    and published in New Zealand Gazette No. 38 of the sixth day of
    June, one thousand nine hundred and forty-six, which paragraph
    is hereby cancelled.

As witness the hand of His Excellency the Governor-General
of the Dominion of New Zealand, this 29th day of July,
1946.

Notifying the proposed Exchange of Crown Land in the Gisborne
Land District for other Land

WHEREAS by section one hundred and sixty of the Land
Act, 1924, it is enacted that it shall be lawful for the
Governor-General, whenever he deems it expedient in the public
interest, to grant in fee-simple any area of Crown land which is
subject to the provisions of the Land Act, 1924, in exchange for
the fee-simple of any other land, and on any such exchange to pay
or receive any sum by way of equality of exchange:
And whereas, in the opinion of the Governor-General, it is
expedient to exchange the Crown land described in the First
Schedule hereto for the land described in the Second Schedule
hereto, and the owner of the land described in the Second Schedule
has agreed to such exchange:
Now, therefore, His Excellency the Governor-General of the
Dominion of New Zealand, in exercise of the aforesaid powers and
authorities, doth hereby declare it is his intention to grant in fee-
simple the area of Crown land described in the First Schedule
hereto in exchange for the fee-simple of the land described in the
Second Schedule.

FIRST SCHEDULE
DESCRIPTION OF LAND AUTHORIZED TO BE EXCHANGED
Gisborne Land District
FIRSTLY, all that area containing by admeasurement 20 acres 1 rood
36 perches, more or less, being part of Section 2, Block XV,
Mangaoporo Survey District, and bounded as follows: On the
east by the Mangarara Stream, on the south by Section 3, Block XV
aforesaid, and on the west generally by other part of Section 2,
Block XV aforesaid; and, secondly, all that area containing by
admeasurement 4 acres 1 rood 27 perches, more or less, being part
of Section 3, Block XV, Mangaoporo Survey District, and bounded
as follows: On the east by the Mangarara Stream, on the south by
a public road, on the west generally by other part of Section 3
aforesaid, and on the north by Section 2, Block XV aforesaid.
As the lands firstly and secondly described are more particularly
delineated on the plan marked L. and S. 26/22037, deposited in
the Head Office, Department of Lands and Survey, at Wellington,
and thereon edged red.

SECOND SCHEDULE
DESCRIPTION OF LAND TO BE OBTAINED IN EXCHANGE THEREFOR
Gisborne Land District
ALL that area containing by admeasurement 30 acres 1 rood 36
perches, more or less, being part of the Opoupawhero Block, Blocks
XI and XV, Mangaoporo Survey District, and being part of the
land comprised and described in Certificate of Title, Volume 31,
folio 47 (Gisborne Registry). As the same is more particularly
delineated on the plan marked L. and S. 26/22037, deposited in the
Head Office, Department of Lands and Survey, at Wellington, and
thereon edged green.

As witness the hand of His Excellency the Governor-General,
this 30th day of July, 1946.
