Date of Election by Fire-insurance Companies to fill Extraordinary Vacancy on the Patea Fire Board

Wellington, 17th July, 1946.
PURSUANT to the Fire Brigades Act, 1926, and the rules thereunder, the Minister charged with the administration of the said Act doth appoint Wednesday, the 31st July, 1946, to be the date for holding the election of one member of the Patea Fire Board by the fire-insurance companies concerned, such election being held to fill the extraordinary vacancy caused by the resignation of Mr. E. B. Hayward.

Notice of Intention to take Land in Block X, Motueka Survey District, for a Post-office
NOTICE is hereby given that it is proposed, under the provisions of the Public Works Act, 1928, to execute a certain public work—to wit, the construction of a post-office—and for the purposes of such public work the land described in the Schedule hereto is required to be taken: And notice is hereby further given that the plan of the land so required to be taken is deposited in the post-office at Ngatimoti and is there open for inspection; and that all persons affected by the execution of the said public work or by the taking of the said land should, if they have any well-grounded objections to the execution of the said public work or to the taking of such land, set forth the same in writing, and send such writing, within forty days from the first publication of this notice, to the Minister of Works at Wellington.

APPROXIMATE area of the piece of land required to be taken: 28 perches.

NOTICE is hereby given that it is proposed, under the provisions of the Public Works Act, 1928, to take the land described in the Schedule hereto for the purposes of a mental hospital: And notice is hereby further given that the plan of the land required to be taken is deposited in the post-office at Waitati and is there open for inspection; and that all persons affected by the taking of the said land should, if they have any well-grounded objections to the taking of such land, set forth the same in writing, and send such writing, within forty days from the first publication of this notice, to the Minister of Works at Wellington.

NOTICE is hereby given that it is proposed, under the provisions of the Public Works Act, 1928, and section 6 of the Statutes Amendment Act, 1945, to execute a certain public work—to wit, the construction of a Child Welfare Receiving Home—and for the purposes of such public work the land described in the Schedule hereto is required to be taken: And notice is hereby further given that the plan of the land so required to be taken is deposited in the post-office at Auckland and is there open for inspection; and that all persons affected by the execution of the said public work or by the taking of the said land should, if they have any well-grounded objections to the execution of the said public work or to the taking of such land, set forth the same in writing, and send such writing, within forty days from the first publication of this notice, to the Minister of Works at Wellington.

Being Section 117 of the Epuni Hamlet, Block XIV, Belmont Survey District (City of Lower Hutt), and being the whole of the land comprised and described in certificate of title, Vol. 478, folio 254 (Wellington Land Registry), being the property situated in Waiwhetu Road, Lower Hutt, occupied by the Plant Research Bureau (Botany Division Experimental Area) of the Department of Scientific and Industrial Research.
