BOROUGH OF WAIMATE

RESOLUTION MAKING SPECIAL RATE

IN pursuance and in exercise of the powers vested in it in that behalf by the Local Bodies’ Loans Act, 1926, the Waimate Borough Council hereby resolves as follows:—

“That, for the purpose of providing the interest and other charges on a loan of £19,000, authorized to be raised by the Waimate Borough Council under the above-mentioned Act, for the purpose of erecting workers’ dwellings, the said Waimate Borough Council hereby makes and levies a special rate of four and one-half pence (4½d.) in the pound upon the unimproved value of all rateable property within the said borough; that such special rate shall be an annual-recurring rate during the currency of such loan and shall be payable yearly on the 1st day of August in each and every year during the currency of such loan, being a period of fifteen years or until the loan is fully paid off.”

Moved by Councillor A. G. McHardy, seconded by Councillor H. H. Leathwick, and carried.

I hereby certify that the above resolution was passed at a meeting of the Waimate Borough Council held on Tuesday, the 9th July, 1946.

RESOLUTION MAKING SPECIAL RATE
