OTOROHANGA TOWN BOARD
RESOLUTION MAKING SPECIAL RATE
IN pursuance and exercise of the powers vested in it in that
behalf by the Local Bodies' Loans Act, 1926, and in pursuance
and exercise of all other Acts and powers enabling it in that behalf,
the Otorohanga Town Board resolves as follows :—
"That, for the purpose of providing the interest and sinking
fund and other charges on a loan of £3,000, authorized to be raised
by the Otorohanga Town Board under the above-mentioned Act or
any other Act and power enabling it in that behalf, for the purpose of
erecting a transit housing centre in Otorohanga, the said Otorohanga
Town Board hereby makes and levies a special rate of 1½d. in the
pound upon the rateable property in the Otorohanga Town District;
and that such special rate shall be an annual-recurring rate during
the currency of such loan and be payable yearly on the 1st day of
April in each and every year during the currency of such loan, being
a period of ten years or until the loan is fully paid off."

MASTERTON COUNTY COUNCIL
RESOLUTION MAKING SPECIAL RATE
Wainuioru Riding Public Hall Loan, 1946
IN pursuance and exercise of the powers vested in it in
that behalf by the Local Bodies' Loans Act, 1926, and in
pursuance and exercise of all other powers and authorities enabling
it in this behalf, the Masterton County Council hereby resolves as
follows :-
"That, for the purpose of providing the interest, principal,
and other charges on a special loan of £1,700, authorized to be
raised by the Masterton County Council under the above-mentioned
Act, for the purpose of erecting a public recreation hall as a com-
munity centre for providing facilities and equipment for the physical
training, exercise, sport, and recreation of the inhabitants of the
Wainuioru Riding of the County of Masterton, and the social
activities related thereto, the County Council hereby makes and
levies a special rate of one-seventeenth of one penny in the pound
upon the rateable value (on the basis of the capital value) of
all rateable property of the Wainuioru Riding of the County of
Masterton, the said riding being described in the New Zealand
Gazette for the year 1919 at pages 3001 and 3002; and that such
special rate shall be an annual-recurring rate during the currency
of such loan and be payable yearly on the 1st day of April in each
and every year during the currency of such loan, being a period
of twenty years from the 1st day of August, 1946, or until the loan
is fully paid off."
We hereby certify that the above is a true and correct extract
from the minutes of a meeting of the Masterton County Council
held at Masterton on the 9th July, 1946.

Single copies of the Gazette as follows:-
Ordinary Weekly Gazette: For the first 32 pages, 9d.,
increasing by 3d. for every subsequent 16 pages or
part thereof; postage, 1d.
Supplementary and Extraordinary Gazettes: For the
first 8 pages, 6d.; over 8 pages and not exceeding
32 pages, 9d., increasing by 3d. for every subsequent
16 pages or part thereof; postage, 1d.
Advertisements are charged at the rate of 6d. per line
for the first insertion, and 3d. per line for the second and
any subsequent insertions.
All advertisements should be written on one side of the
paper, and signatures, &c., should be written in a legible
hand.
The number of insertions required must be written
across the face of the advertisement.
The New Zealand Gazette is published on Thursday
evening of each week, and notices for insertion must be
received by the Government Printer before 12 o'clock of the
day preceding publication.
STATUTORY REGULATIONS
UNDER the Regulations Act, 1936, statutory regulations
of general legislative force are no longer published
in the New Zealand Gazette, but are supplied under any one
or more of the following arrangements:-
(1) All regulations serially as issued (punched for
filing) subscription 30s. per annum in advance.
(2) Annual volume (including index) bound in buckram,
25s. (Volumes for years 1940, 1941, and 1942 are
out of print.)
(3) Serially as issued and annual bound volume, as in
(1) and (2) above, on combined subscription basis,
42s. per annum in advance.
(4) Separate regulations as issued.
(5) Loose-leaf binder for filing serial issues, 10s. 6d.;
postage free.
The price of each regulation is printed thereon, facili-
tating the purchase of extra copies.
Orders on the subscription basis should be placed now
with the Government Printer, Wellington. Separate copies
may be purchased at the Chief Post-offices at Auckland,
Christchurch, or Dunedin.
