Plant declared to be a Noxious Weed in Mackenzie County.—(Notice No. Ag. 4305)

THE following special order made by the Mackenzie County Council on the 7th day of June, 1946, is published in accordance with the provisions of the Noxious Weeds Act, 1928.

SPECIAL ORDER

“In exercise of the powers conferred by sections 4 and 5 of the Noxious Weeds Act, 1928, the Mackenzie County Council hereby resolves, by way of special order, that burdock be hereby declared a noxious weed in the Mackenzie County under the Second Schedule of the above-mentioned Act, and that the Minister be asked to gazette burdock as a noxious weed accordingly.”

The Masterton Milk Delivery Notice 1946

PURSUANT to the Milk Delivery Emergency Regulations 1945,* the Minister of Marketing doth hereby give notice as follows:—

  1. This notice may be cited as the Masterton Milk Delivery Notice 1946.

  2. This notice shall come into force on the Monday following the publication thereof in the Gazette.

  3. The Masterton Milk Delivery Scheme 1940† is hereby revoked.

  4. The scheme set out in the Schedule hereto is hereby provided for the district described in the said Schedule.

SCHEDULE

THE MASTER TON MILK DELIVERY SCHEME, 1946

(1) For the purposes of this scheme, unless the context otherwise requires—

“The district” means the area inclusive of the part of the Borough of Masterton and of areas adjoining thereto as indicated by the demarkation of zones on the plan :

“The plan” means the plan of the district deposited for the purpose of this scheme in the Head Office of the Milk Marketing Division of the Marketing Department at Wellington under No. M.M.D. 6 :

“Zone” means a zone of the district as marked on the said plan :

“Milk” includes cream.

(2) For the purposes of assisting in the administration of this scheme there shall be a committee, which shall consist of the following members:—

(a) Two members to be appointed by the Masterton Borough Council :

(b) Two members to be appointed by the Wairarapa Milk Vendors’ Association.

(3) On the death, resignation, or removal from office of any member of the committee, the vacancy created thereby shall be filled by appointment in the manner in which the vacating member was appointed.

(4) The functions of the Committee shall be to receive and investigate complaints affecting the administration of this scheme, to advise the Minister of any matters that may be referred to the committee by the Minister or that may be considered by it of its own motion, and to make recommendations to the Minister for amending this scheme.

(5) Subject to all the provisions of this scheme, the committee may regulate its procedure in such manner as it thinks fit.

(6) Deliveries of milk under contract to schools, public hospitals, and to establishments of the Armed Forces are excluded from this scheme.

(7) Subject to the foregoing provisions of this scheme, the names and addresses of the vendors who are parties to this scheme and the areas in which they may deliver milk are as follows:—

The Rotorua Milk Delivery Notice 1942, Amendment No. 4

PURSUANT to the Milk Delivery Emergency Regulations 1945,* the Minister of Marketing doth hereby give notice as follows:—

  1. This notice may be cited as the Rotorua Milk Delivery Notice 1942, Amendment No. 4, and shall be read together with and deemed part of the Rotorua Milk Delivery Notice 1942† (hereinafter referred to as the principal scheme).

  2. Clause 6 of the principal scheme is hereby amended by revoking the words “Allan Alfred Boryer, Rotorua,” as substituted by the Rotorua Milk Delivery Scheme, Amendment No. 2, relating to deliveries in Zone No. 5, and substituting the words “Hugh Rea, of Rotorua.”

The Hamilton Milk Delivery Notice 1946, Amendment No. 2

PURSUANT to the Milk Delivery Emergency Regulations 1945,* the Minister of Marketing doth hereby give notice as follows:—

  1. This notice may be cited as the Hamilton Milk Delivery Notice 1946, Amendment No. 2, and shall be read together with and deemed part of the Hamilton Milk Delivery Notice 1946† (hereinafter referred to as the principal notice).

  2. Clause (7) of the principal notice is hereby amended by revoking the words “W. G. Smith, East Street, Claudelands,” against reference number 22, and substituting the words “F. E. Coogan, 4 Wilson Street, Hamilton East.”

Election of Producers’ Representatives on the Nelson District Hop Marketing Committee

PURSUANT to the Hop Marketing Regulations 1939, made under the Marketing Act, 1936, and the Agriculture (Emergency Powers) Act, 1934, notice is hereby given that a copy of the roll of producers qualified to vote at the elections to be held on the second Wednesday in the month of August, 1946, of producers’ representatives on the Hop Marketing Committee established by the said regulations, have been deposited for public inspection during ordinary office hours for a period of seven days from the 17th day of July, 1946, at the post-offices mentioned hereunder:—

Motueka.
Upper Moutere.

Declaration of Result of Election of Producers’ Representatives on the Nelson Raspberry Marketing Committee

I, MAY WAREHAM, Returning Officer for the purposes of the election of four (4) producers’ representatives for appointment to the Nelson Raspberry Marketing Committee, established by the Nelson Raspberry Marketing Regulations 1940, made under the Marketing Act, 1936, and the Agriculture (Emergency Powers) Act, 1934, do hereby declare the following two (2) producers to have been duly nominated for the two vacancies on the Northern Ward, and the results of the elections on the poll which closed at Wellington at noon on the 26th day of June, 1946, for the two vacancies on the Southern Ward, to be as follows:—
