Setting apart Native Land as a Native Reservation

ORDER IN COUNCIL

At the Government House at Wellington, this 26th day of June, 1946

Present:

HIS EXCELLENCY THE GOVERNOR-GENERAL IN COUNCIL

PURSUANT to section five of the Native Purposes Act, 1937. His Excellency the Governor-General, acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council, doth hereby set apart and reserve the Native freehold land described in the Schedule hereto as a Native reservation for the common use of the owners thereof as a meeting-place.

The North-western Side of Portion of Springhill Road and the South-western Side of Portion of Crosby Street, in the City of Dunedin, exempted from the Provisions of Section 128 of the Public Works Act, 1928, subject to a Condition as to the Building-line

ORDER IN COUNCIL

At the Government House at Wellington, this 26th day of June, 1946

Present:

HIS EXCELLENCY THE GOVERNOR-GENERAL IN COUNCIL

PURSUANT to section one hundred and twenty-eight of the Public Works Act, 1928, His Excellency the Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council of the said Dominion, doth hereby approve of the following resolution passed by the Dunedin City Council on the eighth day of April, one thousand nine hundred and forty-six, viz.:

“ That the Dunedin City Council, being the local authority having control of the streets of the City of Dunedin, by resolution declares that the provisions of section one hundred and twenty-eight of the Public Works Act, 1928, shall not apply to the undermentioned portions of streets, viz.:

“(a) The north-western side of the portion of Springhill Road adjoining Lot 172, Deeds Plan 253, Glen Estate, being part Section 72, Block VI, Town District.

“(b) The south-western side of the portion of Crosby Street adjoining Lots 171 and 172, Deeds Plan 253, Glen Estate, being part Section 72, Block VI, Town District such land being comprised and described in Certificate of Title 216/286 ”;

subject to the condition that no building or part of a building shall at any time be erected on the land fronting the north-western side of the portion of Springhill Road or the south-western side of the portion of Crosby Street (described in the Schedule hereto) within a distance of thirty-three feet from the centre-lines of the said portions of street.

SCHEDULE

THE north-western side of all that portion of street situated in the Otago Land District, City of Dunedin, known as Springhill Road, fronting part Lot 172, Deeds Plan 253, Glen Estate.

Also the south-western side of all that portion of street situated in the said land district and city, known as Crosby Street, fronting Lot 171 and part Lot 172, Deeds Plan 253, Glen Estate.

As the same are more particularly delineated on the plan marked P.W.D. 123392, deposited in the office of the Minister of Works at Wellington, and thereon edged red.

The Southern Side of Portion of Public Road off Brunswick Line, in the County of Waitotara, exempted from the Provisions of Section 128 of the Public Works Act, 1928, subject to a Condition as to the Building-line

HIS EXCELLENCY THE GOVERNOR-GENERAL IN COUNCIL

PURSUANT to section one hundred and twenty-eight of the Public Works Act, 1928, His Excellency the Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council of the said Dominion, doth hereby approve of the following resolution passed by the Waitotara County Council on the twelfth day of March, one thousand nine hundred and forty-six, viz.:

“ That the Waitotara County Council, being the local authority having control of the roads in the County of Waitotara, by resolution declares that the provision of section one hundred and twenty-eight of the Public Works Act, 1928, shall not apply to the southern side of that portion of an unnamed and unformed road running from the Brunswick Line and adjoining part of the land in C.T. 48/15, being part Section 179, Right Bank, Wanganui River ”;

subject to the condition that no building or part of a building shall at any time be erected on the land fronting the southern side of the portion of the public road (described in the Schedule hereto) within a distance of thirty-three feet from the centre-line of the said portion of road.

SCHEDULE

THE southern side of all that portion of public road off Brunswick Line, situated in the Wellington Land District, County of Waitotara, fronting part Section 179, Right Bank, Wanganui River. As the same is more particularly delineated on the plan marked P.W.D. 123351, deposited in the office of the Minister of Works at Wellington, and thereon coloured red.

The Te Puke Milk District Constitution Order 1946

ORDER IN COUNCIL

At the Government House at Wellington, this 26th day of June, 1946

Present:

HIS EXCELLENCY THE GOVERNOR-GENERAL IN COUNCIL

IN pursuance and exercise of the powers conferred on him by the Milk Act, 1944, His Excellency the Governor-General, acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council, doth hereby order and declare as follows:

  1. This Order may be cited as the Te Puke Milk District Constitution Order 1946.

  2. The Borough of Te Puke is hereby constituted and declared a milk district under the Milk Act, 1944, as from the first day of July, one thousand nine hundred and forty-six, with the name of “Te Puke Milk District”.

  3. The Milk Authority of the said milk district shall be the Te Puke Borough Council.

Appointment of Members of Dental Council under the Dentists Act, 1936

IN pursuance and exercise of the powers and authorities conferred upon me by section three of the Dentists Act, 1936, I, Lieutenant-General Sir Bernard Cyril Freyberg, the Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, do hereby appoint—

John Thomas Cooper, Dentist,
John Patrick Walsh, M.B., B.S., B.D.Sc. (Melb.), L.D.S. (Vic.),
Robert Eric Tamlyn Hewat, D.D.S., Univ. of N.Z.,
Owen Vivian Davies, L.D.S. (Vic.),
Charles Ernest Hercus, D.S.O., O.B.E., M.D., B.D.S., and D.P.H., Univ. of N.Z., and
Philip Patrick Lynch, B.Sc., M.D., Univ. of N.Z., F.R.A.C.P.,

as members of the Dental Council under the aforesaid Act for a period of three years from the fifteenth day of June, one thousand nine hundred and forty-six.

As witness the hand of His Excellency the Governor-General, this 27th day of June, 1946.

Member of Plumbers Board appointed

IN pursuance and exercise of the powers and authorities conferred upon me by section three of the Plumbers Registration Act, 1912, I, Lieutenant-General Sir Bernard Cyril Freyberg, the Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, do hereby appoint Cecil Gordon Swinburne, M.N.Z.I.E., M.R.S., Assistant to the City Engineer of the Corporation of the City of Wellington, to be a member of the Plumbers Board of New Zealand under the aforesaid Act.

As witness the hand of His Excellency the Governor-General, this 26th day of June, 1946.
