And whereas, in the opinion of the Administrator of the Government, it is expedient to exchange the area of State forest described in the First Schedule hereto for the land described in the Second Schedule hereto, and the owners of the said land described in the Second Schedule have agreed to such exchange and have agreed to pay to the Crown a sum of money by way of equality of exchange:
Now, therefore, His Excellency the Administrator of the Government of the Dominion of New Zealand, in exercise of the aforesaid powers and authorities, doth hereby declare it as his intention to grant in fee-simple the area of State forest described in the First Schedule for the fee-simple of the land described in the Second Schedule, upon payment by the owners thereof of the sum of money hereinbefore referred to by way of equality of exchange.
FIRST SCHEDULE
DESCRIPTION OF LAND AUTHORIZED TO BE EXCHANGED
ALL that area in the Hawke’s Bay Land District, Waipawa County, containing by admeasurement 61 acres 0 roods 27 perches, more or less, being Lot 2 on D.P. 7157, being part of Section 2, Block XII, Wakarara Survey District. As the same is more particularly delineated on plan No. 79/2, deposited in the Head Office of the State Forest Service at Wellington, and thereon bordered red.
SECOND SCHEDULE
DESCRIPTION OF LAND TO BE OBTAINED IN EXCHANGE THEREFOR
ALL that area in the Hawke’s Bay Land District, Waipawa County, containing by admeasurement 18 acres 3 roods 22 perches, more or less, situated in Block VIII, Wakarara Survey District, being Lot 1 on D.P. 7157, being part of Block 3, Gwavas Crown Grant District. As the same is more particularly delineated on plan No. 79/2, deposited in the Head Office of the State Forest Service at Wellington, and thereon bordered blue.
As witness the hand of His Excellency the Administrator of the Government, this 7th day of June, 1946.

George Schischka to be 2nd Lieutenant (on prob.), and is seconded to the Rotorua High School Cadets, Area 2. Dated 1st March, 1946.
The Hawke’s Bay Regiment
Temp. Lieutenant E. Dwyer ceases to be seconded to the Te Aute College Cadets, Area 7, and resigns his commission. Dated 2nd May, 1946.
The Nelson, Marlborough, and West Coast Regiment
Cyprian Bridge Beatson (late temp. Captain, The Nelson Marlborough, and West Coast Regiment) to be temp. Captain, with seniority from 2nd January, 1942, and is seconded to the Nelson College Cadets, Area 9. Dated 14th May, 1946.
N.Z. MEDICAL CORPS

The notice published in the New Zealand Gazette No. 33, dated 23rd May, 1946, relative to Lieutenant (Acting-Captain) J. L. Hazlett, is hereby amended as follows: For “with the temporary rank of Lieutenant, with seniority from 1st November, 1942,” substitute “with the temporary rank of Captain, with seniority from 1st March, 1943.”
Captain H. A. Steele, B.D.S., N.Z. Dental Corps, and is reposted to the Territorial Force with the temporary rank of Captain, with seniority from 10th October, 1943. Dated 22nd May, 1946.
