Withdrawing Crown Land from a Mining District

A PROCLAMATION

IN pursuance and exercise of the powers conferred upon me by section eight (c) of the Mining Act, 1926, and of every other power and authority enabling me in this behalf, I, Sir Michael Myers, the Administrator of the Government of the Dominion of New Zealand, do hereby, as from the date of the publication hereof in the New Zealand Gazette, withdraw from the Otago Mining District that area of Crown land described in the Schedule hereto, subject to any existing registered mining privileges.

SCHEDULE

ALL that area containing 105 acres 1 rood 5 perches, more or less, being part of Section 2, Block III, Lauder Survey District, bounded as follows: Commencing at a point 100 links due south of the south-western corner of Section 2A, Matakauui Settlement; thence by the right lines bearing 89° 58′ 2236·3 links, bearing 163° 37′ 15″ 2764·2 links, bearing 3° 49′ 357 links, bearing 25° 48′ 412·1 links, bearing 31° 52′ 455·1 links, and bearing 263° 28′ 40″ 2588·9 links to the Omakau–Drybread Road; thence due north along that road 4058·6 links to the point of commencement: be all the aforesaid measurements more or less. As the same is delineated on the plan marked N. 6/4/18, deposited in the Head Office of the Mines Department at Wellington, and thereon bordered red.

Given under the hand of His Excellency the Administrator of the Government of the Dominion of New Zealand, and issued under the Seal of that Dominion, this 29th day of May, 1946.

Cancelling the Vesting of a Reserve in the Franklin County Council

At the Government House at Wellington, this 29th day of May, 1946

Present:

HIS EXCELLENCY THE ADMINISTRATOR OF THE GOVERNMENT IN COUNCIL

WHEREAS the land described in the Schedule hereto is a landing reserve, and is vested in the Franklin County Council: And whereas it is expedient that the vesting of the said land as hereinbefore referred to should be cancelled, and the Franklin County Council has duly consented to such cancellation:

Now, therefore, His Excellency the Administrator of the Government of the Dominion of New Zealand, acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council of the said Dominion, and in pursuance and exercise of the powers and authorities conferred upon him by subsection one of section ten of the Public Reserves, Domains, and National Parks Act, 1928, doth hereby cancel the vesting in the Franklin County Council of the land described in the Schedule hereto.

Cancelling the Vesting of Reserves in the Timaru Borough Council

At the Government House at Wellington, this 29th day of May, 1946

Present:

HIS EXCELLENCY THE ADMINISTRATOR OF THE GOVERNMENT IN COUNCIL

WHEREAS the lands described in the Schedule hereto are reserves for the purposes of improvement and protection of river and are vested in the Timaru Borough Council:

And whereas it is expedient that the vesting of the said lands as hereinbefore referred to should be cancelled, and the Timaru Borough Council has duly consented to such cancellation:

Now, therefore, His Excellency the Administrator of the Government of the Dominion of New Zealand, acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council of the said Dominion, and in pursuance and exercise of the powers and authorities conferred upon him by subsection one of section ten of the Public Reserves, Domains, and National Parks Act, 1928, doth hereby cancel the vesting in the Timaru Borough Council of the lands described in the Schedule hereto.

Vesting a Reserve in the Oamaru Borough Council

ORDER IN COUNCIL

HIS EXCELLENCY THE ADMINISTRATOR OF THE GOVERNMENT IN COUNCIL

WHEREAS the land described in the Schedule hereto has been duly set apart for public-utility purposes: And whereas, in the opinion of the Administrator of the Government, it is expedient to vest the said reserve in the Mayor, Councillors, and Burgesses of the Borough of Oamaru:

Now, therefore, His Excellency the Administrator of the Government of the Dominion of New Zealand, acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council of the said Dominion, and in exercise of the powers and authorities conferred upon him by section nine of the Public Reserves, Domains, and National Parks Act, 1928, doth hereby declare that, from and after the day of the date hereof, the reserve described in the Schedule hereto shall become vested in the Mayor, Councillors, and Burgesses of the Borough of Oamaru, in trust, for public-utility purposes.

SCHEDULE

OTAGO LAND DISTRICT

ALL that area situated in the Borough of Oamaru, containing by admeasurement 2·74 perches, more or less, being part Section 8, Block XCV, Town of Oamaru: Bounded towards the north by part Section 8, 155·13 links; towards the east by Section 9, 22·35 links; and towards the south by Section 10, 153·51 links: be all the aforesaid linkages more or less. As the same is delineated on the plan marked L. and S. 9/3434D, deposited in the Head Office, Department of Lands and Survey, at Wellington, and thereon bordered red (S.O.P. 9487).

Recreation Reserve in the Otago Land District brought under Part II of the Public Reserves, Domains, and National Parks Act, 1928

Present:

HIS EXCELLENCY THE ADMINISTRATOR OF THE GOVERNMENT IN COUNCIL

BY virtue of the powers and authorities vested in me by the thirty-fourth section of the Public Reserves, Domains, and National Parks Act, 1928, I, Sir Michael Myers, the Administrator of the Government of the Dominion of New Zealand, acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council of the said Dominion, do hereby order and declare that the reserve for recreation in the Otago Land District, described in the Schedule hereto, shall be and the same is hereby brought under the operation of, and declared to be subject to, the provisions of Part II of the said Act; and such reserve shall hereafter be known as the Waipori Falls Domain, and be managed, administered, and dealt with as a public domain.

SCHEDULE

OTAGO LAND DISTRICT

ALL that area containing 6 acres 1 rood 7 perches, more or less, being part of Section 51, Block VIII, Waipori Survey District, commencing at a point on the Waipori River, 11171·15 links east and 5338·67 links south of Trig. C, Waipori Survey District; thence towards the north-west by the said Waipori River, 1410 links; and towards the north-east, south-east, and south-west by other part of aforesaid Section 51, 444·24 links, 1338·43 links, and 280·38 links respectively: be all the aforesaid linkages more or less. As the same is delineated on the plan marked L. and S. 437B, deposited in the Head Office, Department of Lands and Survey, at Wellington, and thereon bordered red.
