Notice to Persons affected by Applications for Licenses under Part III
of the Industrial Efficiency Act, 1936

Manufacture for Sale of Footwear

A. Pellow, 28 Pitt Street, Palmerston North, has applied for a
license to manufacture children’s dancing pumps.

K. G. Payne, 74 Pitt Street, Auckland, has applied for leave to
transfer the footwear-manufacturing license in the name of A. H.
Davis to a partnership of A. H. Davis and K. G. Payne, and for a
variation of the license so as to permit the sale of footwear otherwise
than through their own shop.

Vivian Slippers, Ltd., Wellington, has applied for an extension
of its existing license so as to permit the manufacture of women’s
shoes of the open-sandal type by the machine-sewn, riveted, and
cemented processes.

Pitmet Footwear, Ltd., Auckland, has applied for an extension
of its present license so as to permit the manufacture of women’s
shoes of the open-sandal type.

Retail Sale and Distribution of Motor-spirit

W. F. Young, Brown’s Bay, Auckland, has applied for a license
to resell motor-spirit from five pumps to be installed on proposed
new garage and service-station premises at the junction of Brown’s
Bay and Dunoon Roads, Brown’s Bay.

R. L. Booth and R. H. Roberts, Te Atatu, Auckland, have applied
for a license to resell motor-spirit from two pumps to be installed
on proposed new garage premises at the junction of the new northern
highway and Taikata Road, Te Atatu.

A. T. Michie, Patumahoe, has applied for a license to resell motor-
spirit from one pump to be installed on proposed garage and
service-station premises, Patumahoe.

I. A. Lind, Pihama, has applied for a license to resell motor-
spirit from one pump to be installed on store premises on the Main
South Road, Pihama.

G. J. and T. A. Daniel, Rauparaha Street, Waikanae Beach, have
applied for permission to transfer one pump from premises in Rau-
paraha Street to a new site at the corner of Rauparaha Street and
Te Moana Road, Waikanae Beach.

H. V. Barnes and G. Ibbett, 31 High Street, Marton, have
applied for a license to resell motor-spirit from one pump to be
installed on garage premises on the corner of High and Bowen
Streets, Marton.

I. Spooner, Okoia has, applied for a license to resell motor-spirit
from one pump to be installed on store premises at Okoia.

Applicants and other persons considering themselves to be
materially affected by the decisions of the Bureau of Industry
on these applications should, not later than the 6th day of June,
1946, submit any written evidence and representations they may
desire to tender. All communications should be addressed to the
Secretary, Bureau of Industry, C.P.O. Box 3025, Wellington.

Fog-signals and Lights may not be operating

Position: Jerningham Point; Clyde Quay; Queens Wharf.

Details: Owing to the necessity of power conservation the fog-
signals situated at the above locations and the lights on Clyde Quay
and Taranaki Street Wharves may not be operating, and masters
of vessels are warned to make themselves conversant with the
schedule of the proposed restricted hours which are published in the
local press.
