Appointment of Deputy District Public Trustee

NOTICE is hereby given that, in pursuance of the power and authority vested in me by section 3 of the Public Trust Office Amendment Act, 1921–22, I, the Public Trustee of the Dominion of New Zealand, have appointed Leslie John Summerfield Stanton, of the Public Trust Office, Tauranga, to be deputy of the District Public Trustee, Tauranga, during the absence of such District Public Trustee from his headquarters from any cause, and all previous Warrants appointing any deputy of the said District Public Trustee have been revoked.

Notice of Vesting of Land in the Public Trustee under the Public Trust Office Act, 1908, Part II (Unclaimed Lands)

WHEREAS I, the undersigned, the Public Trustee, have for the purposes of Part II of the Public Trust Office Act, 1908 (relating to unclaimed lands), made due inquiry with respect to the lands described in the Schedule hereunder, and the whereabouts of the owner thereof, and have, in respect of the said lands, given the notices prescribed by section 66 of that Act and have in all respects complied with the provisions of that Act pertinent thereto: And whereas the owner has not established his title to the said lands as required by that Act, I hereby give notice that the said lands are under and by virtue of that Act vested in the Public Trustee as aforesaid as from the date of the publication hereof, and will be administered under the Public Trust Office Act, 1908, the value of the lands for the purposes of section 67 (d) of that Act being less than five hundred pounds (£500).

SCHEDULE

ALL that parcel of land containing 60 acres, more or less, being the southern portion of Allotment 52, Parish of Waikare, County of Marsden (now Whangarei): Bounded towards the north by other portion of said Allotment 52, 3060 links; towards the east by a road 100 links wide, 519 links, 904 links, and 1895 links; towards the south by a line, 100 links; and towards the south-west and west by the Waitangata River; and being the whole of the land comprised in an unregistered Crown Grant to Patrick Walsh, of Newmarket, Farmer.

Unclaimed Lands.—Notice by the Public Trustee under the Public Trust Office Act, 1908 (Part II), and its Amendments

To the owner of the following land, that is to say: All that parcel of land containing 4½ perches, more or less, being part of Lot 56, on Deposited Plan No. 280, of part of Rural Section 118, Christchurch, having frontages to Princes Street and St. David Street, and being the land comprised in certificate of title, Vol. 64, folio 227 (Canterbury Registry), in the name of William Storey, of Christchurch, Yardman.

WHEREAS, after due inquiry, the owner of the above-described land cannot be found:

And whereas the said owner has no known agent in New Zealand:

Now, the Public Trustee hereby calls upon such owner, within six months of the date of the publication of this notice in this Gazette, to establish to the satisfaction of the Public Trustee his title to the said land, and if he fails or neglects so to do the Public Trustee will exercise as regards the said land the powers and authorities granted to him in and by the Public Trust Office Act, 1908 (Part II), and its amendments.
