Notice of Intention to take Land in the City of Invercargill for a Public Works Depot
NOTICE is hereby given that it is proposed, under the provisions of the Public Works Act, 1928, to execute a certain public work—to wit, the construction of a Public Works depot—and for the purposes of such public work the land described in the Schedule hereto is required to be taken: And notice is hereby further given that the plan of the land so required to be taken is deposited in the post-office at Invercargill—and is there open for inspection; and that all persons affected by the execution of the said public work or by the taking of the said land should, if they have any well-grounded objections to the execution of the said public work or to the taking of such land, set forth the same in writing, and send such writing, within forty days from the first publication of this notice, to the Minister of Works at Wellington.

NOTICE is hereby given that it is proposed, under the provisions of the Public Works Act, 1928, to take the land described in the Schedule hereto for public buildings of the General Government: And notice is hereby further given that all persons affected by the taking of the said land should, if they have any well-grounded objections to the taking of such land, set forth the same in writing, and send such writing, within forty days from the first publication of this notice, to the Minister of Works at Wellington.
SCHEDULE
APPROXIMATE area of the piece of land required to be taken: 9·6 perches.
Being part Section 535, City of Wellington, and being the whole of the land comprised and described in certificate of title, Vol. 110, folio 140 (Wellington Land Registry), and known as No. 92 Molesworth Street.

Exemption Order under the Motor-drivers Regulations 1940
PURSUANT to the Motor-drivers Regulations 1940,* the Minister of Transport doth hereby order and declare that the provisions of clause (1) of Regulation 7 of the said regulations, so far as they relate to the driving of heavy trade motors, shall not apply to the person hereinafter mentioned, but in lieu thereof the following provision shall apply:—
A motor-driver’s license issued under the Motor-drivers Regulations 1940 to the person described in Column 1 of the Schedule hereunder may authorize him to drive a heavy trade motor in the course of his employment on a farm or market-garden of the respective employer described in Column 2 of the said Schedule, but shall not authorize him, while he is under the age of eighteen years, to drive a heavy trade motor for any other purpose.

Declaring Area to be a Closely Populated Locality for the Purposes of the Motor-vehicles Amendment Act, 1936, Section 3
IN terms of section 3 of the Motor-vehicles Amendment Act, 1936, the Minister of Transport doth hereby declare the area described in the Schedule hereto to be a closely populated locality for the purposes of the said section to the intent that a person driving any motor-vehicle on any road, street, or other place to which the public have access therein shall be subject to the maximum speed limit of thirty miles an hour fixed by the said section.
SCHEDULE
Situated within Marlborough County—
All that area at Spring Creek consisting of—
(1) The Picton–Christchurch State Highway No. 51, commencing at a point 14 chains measured along the said State Highway in a northerly direction from its junction with the Spring Creek – Raranga Main Highway, proceeding thence in a southerly direction and terminating at a point 10 chains measured along the said State highway in a southerly direction from the said junction; and
(2) The Spring Creek – Raranga Main Highway No. 160, commencing at the junction of the said main highway with the Picton–Christchurch State Highway, proceeding thence in a north-easterly direction and terminating at a point 36 chains measured along the said main highway in a north-easterly direction from the said junction; and
(3) The Spring Creek – Wairau Bridge Road, commencing at the junction of the said road with the Picton–Christchurch State Highway, proceeding thence in a westerly and a north-westerly direction and terminating at a point 12 chains measured along the road in a westerly and north-westerly direction from the said junction, the whole area being indicated in green on the plan marked TT. 1683, deposited in the office of the Transport Department at Wellington.

The Servicemen’s Settlement and Land Sales Act, 1943.—Notice declaring Land taken for the Settlement of Discharged Servicemen
WHEREAS an application has been made for the consent of the Land Sales Court to a transaction which relates to the land described in the Schedule hereto and to which Part III of the Servicemen’s Settlement and Land Sales Act, 1943, applies:
And whereas the Land Sales Committee to which the application has been referred is of opinion that the land to which the application relates is farm land suitable for the settlement of discharged servicemen:
And whereas the said committee, not being satisfied that the Crown had decided not to acquire or arrange for the acquisition of the land, did on the 2nd day of April, 1946, make an order determining the basic value of the land and no appeal from the said order was made within the time prescribed by the said Act or within any further time allowed by the Court:
And whereas the said land is not the land of any serviceman who is for the time being serving outside New Zealand in any of His Majesty’s Forces or in any British ship:
Now, therefore, the Minister of Lands, acting in pursuance of section 51 of the said Act, doth hereby declare that the said land is taken for the settlement of discharged servicemen, and hereby specifies the 18th day of June, 1946, as the date on which the said land shall be deemed to be vested in His Majesty the King.

NORTH AUCKLAND LAND DISTRICT
ALL that area situated in Blocks X and XIII, Awhitu Survey District, containing by admeasurement eighty-nine (89) acres two (2) roods fifteen (15) perches, mere or less, being Lot 2, D.P. 29036, being portion of Allotment 114, Waiuku East Parish, and being the whole of the land described in certificate of title, Vol. 719, folio 45, subject to water and incidental rights created by Transfer 314430 (Auckland Registry).
