Waitemata County Council required under the Town-planning Act,
1926, to prepare and submit to the Town-planning Board an
Extra-urban Planning Scheme for Part of the Waikumete Riding

ORDER IN COUNCIL
At the Government House at Wellington, this 8th day of
May, 1946
Present:
His Excellency the Administrator of the Government in
Council
WHEREAS the Waitemata County Council is the responsible
authority within the meaning of the Town-planning Act,
1926, of a certain rural area as defined in the said Act—namely,
the Waitemata County:
And whereas His Excellency the Administrator of the Govern-
ment is of opinion that settlement is taking place within a certain
defined area within the rural area aforesaid—namely, the defined
area described in the Schedule hereto—at such a rate that the
preparation of an extra-urban planning scheme is deemed advisable
in the public interest:
Now, therefore, in pursuance and exercise of the powers con-
ferred upon him by section twenty-five of the Town-planning Act,
1926, His Excellency the Administrator of the Government, acting
by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council, doth
hereby require the Waitemata County Council to prepare and sub-
mit to the Town-planning Board before the thirtieth day of April,
one thousand nine hundred and forty-seven, an extra-urban planning
scheme in respect of the said area described in the Schedule hereto.
SCHEDULE
All that area in the Waitemata County, bounded by a line
commencing at a point being the intersection of the northern
boundary of the Henderson Town District with the right bank of
the Henderson Creek, and running northerly generally along the
said right bank to the shore of the Waitemata Harbour; thence
south-easterly and southerly generally along the said shore and
the left bank of the Whau River to the Borough of New Lynn;
thence south-westerly generally along the boundaries of the said
borough, as described in New Zealand Gazette No. 42 of the 8th
day of June, 1939, page 1728, to the Glen Eden Town District;
thence north-westerly generally along the north-eastern boundary
of the said Glen Eden Town District, as described in New Zealand
Gazette No. 42 of the 8th day of June, 1939, page 1728, to the north-
eastern side of the Great North Road; thence along the north-
eastern side aforesaid to a point being the production easterly of
the northern boundary of Allotment 37, Waari Hamlet; thence
along a right line to and along the boundary of the Henderson
Town District, as described in New Zealand Gazette No. 22 of the
30th day of March, 1922, page 760, to the point of commencement.
