IN pursuance and exercise of the powers conferred by section
forty-four of the Public Reserves, Domains, and National
Parks Act, 1928, His Excellency the Governor-General of the
Dominion of New Zealand, acting by and with the advice and
consent of the Executive Council of the said Dominion, doth hereby
appoint
Grenfell Raymore Thurston,
Victor Harrison,
Frank Benton Williams,
Robert Fredrick Anson,
James Marshall Laing,
Raymond Vern Wallace, and
John Deidrich Leatherland
to be the Ruawai Domain Board, having control of the land described

Land temporarily reserved in the Westland Land District for Railway
Purposes

WHEREAS by the three-hundred-and-fifty-ninth section of the
Land Act, 1924, it is enacted that the Governor-General
may from time to time set apart temporarily as reserves, notwith-
standing that the same may be then held under pastoral license,
any Crown lands which in his opinion are required for any of the
purposes in the said section mentioned:
Now, therefore, I, Cyril Louis Norton Newall, the Governor-
General of the Dominion of New Zealand, in pursuance and exercise
of the powers and authorities conferred upon me by the said Act,
do hereby temporarily reserve the land in the Westland Land
District, described in the Schedule hereunder written, for railway
purposes.

WESTLAND LAND DISTRICT.-BOROUGH OF RUNANGA
RESERVE 1862, Town of Runanga (formerly Sections 6 and 7,
Block XXXVII, Town of Runanga), Block III, Cobden Survey

Increasing Number of Days on which Charges may be made for
Admission to the Taihape Oval Domain

IN pursuance and exercise of the powers and authorities conferred
upon me by section twenty-three of the Public Reserves,
Domains, and National Parks Act, 1928, I, Cyril Louis Norton Newall,
the Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, do hereby
increase the number of days which may be prescribed by the Taihape
Oval Domain Board as days upon which charges may be made,
pursuant to section twenty-one of the said Act, for admission to the
domain described in the Schedule hereto, or to any part thereof set
apart for a particular purpose, from twenty days to thirty days
during the year ending the thirty-first day of March, one thousand
nine hundred and forty-six.

WELLINGTON LAND DISTRICT.-TAIHAPE OVAL DOMAIN
ALL that area containing 9 acres 3 roods 24 perches, more or less,
being Block X, Township of Taihape, and formerly comprising
portion of Taihape Domain.

Vesting the Control of a Scenic Reserve in the Waikaka Scenic Board

IN pursuance and exercise of the powers and authorities conferred
upon him by the Scenery Preservation Act, 1908, His
Excellency the Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand
doth hereby revoke a Warrant dated the twenty-fifth day of March,
one thousand nine hundred and forty-one, and published in the
Gazette of the twenty-seventh day of that month, vesting the control
of a scenic reserve in the Waikaka Scenic Board, and doth hereby
vest the control of the scenic reserve described in the Schedule
hereto (being land reserved under the said Act), for the period of
five years from the date hereof (unless previously altered or revoked
under the said Act), in the undermentioned persons, namely,-
The Commissioner of Crown Lands, New Plymouth, ex officio,
Thomas Robert Etherington,
Longton Arthur Passau,
Ian Farquhar Beaton,
William Sandison, and
Gordon Russell Mossman,
who are hereby constituted for that purpose a special Board, by
the name of the Waikaka Scenic Board (herein referred to as "the
Board"), in trust, for the preservation of scenery, and with the
powers and subject to the conditions hereinafter contained, that
is to say:-
-
The first meeting of the Board shall be held on Saturday,
the twenty-sixth day of January, one thousand nine hundred and
forty-six, at two o'clock p.m., at the residence of Mr. W. Sandison,
Waikaka Road, Matiere, and thereafter the Board shall meet for
the transaction of business on the second Saturday in each quarter
at the time and place aforesaid, or at such other time or place as
may from time to time be fixed by the Board. -
The members of the Board shall at their first meeting, and
thereafter at the annual meeting hereinafter mentioned, elect one
of themselves to be Chairman, who may join in the discussion,
and shall have an original as well as a casting vote. The Chairman
shall hold office until the election of his successor. -
Special meetings may be convened by the Chairman, provided
that two days' notice of such meeting is given to each member,
specifying the business to be transacted at such special meeting;
and no other business than that so specified shall be transacted at
such meeting. -
Any three members of the Board shall form a quorum.
Any meeting may be adjourned from time to time. -
All questions shall be determined by the majority of votes
of the members of the Board present at the meeting. -
If at any meeting the Chairman is not present at the time
appointed for holding the same, the members present shall choose
one of their number to be Chairman for such meeting. -
If by resignation, death, incapacity, or otherwise, the seat
of any member shall be or become vacant, or if any member absents
himself, without reasonable cause, from three consecutive meetings
of the Board, the Governor-General shall have power to appoint
any other person to be a member of the Board in his stead. -
The Board shall prepare and submit at an annual meeting
to be held in the month of April in each year a report of the pro-
ceedings of the Board for the previous year ending on the thirty-first
day of March, together with a statement of the receipts and
expenditure of the Board for such year. A copy of every such report
and statement, certified by the Chairman to be correct, shall be
sent to the Minister in Charge of Scenery Preservation as soon as
possible after each annual meeting. -
The Board shall control the said reserve in accordance with
the provisions of the said Act and of the regulations made thereunder.

SECTION 27, Block XV, Aria Survey District : Area, 101 acres, more
or less.
As witness the hand of His Excellency the Governor-General,
