Authorizing the Laying-off of a Road of less Width than 66 ft.
WHEREAS in the opinion of the Minister of Lands it is inexpedient, by reason of the fact that the land shown upon the plan of Town of Riccarton Extension No. 41, affecting part Rural Section 163, situated in Block X, Christchurch Survey District, Canterbury Land District, is intended to be used wholly for residential purposes, that the road shown as Ngahere Street thereon should be of the width of 66 ft.:
Now, therefore, in pursuance of the power conferred upon him by section 17, subsection (1), of the Land Act, 1924, and of every other power him thereunto enabling, the Minister of Lands doth hereby authorize the laying-off of the road shown as Ngahere Street of a width of not less than 50 ft.:
Provided always that it shall not be lawful for any person to erect or cause to be erected any building at a less distance than 33 ft. from the middle of such road.
Given under the hand of the Minister of Lands, this 1st day of April, 1946.

Defining Lands in Hawke’s Bay Land District to which Water is supplied pursuant to Section 8 of the Land Laws Amendment Act, 1939
IN pursuance and exercise of the power and authority conferred upon me by subsection (5) of section 8 of the Land Laws Amendment Act, 1939, I, Clarence Farrington Skinner, Minister of Lands, hereby give notice that the lands defined in the Schedule hereto are lands to which water is supplied under the said section.

ALL that area in the Waipukurau County containing by admeasurement a total of 631 acres 0 roods 5 perches, more or less, being more particularly described as follows:—

The Servicemen’s Settlement and Land Sales Act, 1943.—Notice of Intention to take Land
THE Minister of Lands, acting in pursuance of section 24 of the Servicemen’s Settlement and Land Sales Act, 1943, hereby gives notice of his intention to take the land described in the Schedule hereto under Part II of the said Act, and specifies the 3rd day of February, 1947, as the date on which possession of the said land is required, and the 20th day of May, 1946, as the date on or before which objections may be made under section 25 of the said Act.

ALL that area containing by admeasurement two thousand nine hundred and twenty-nine (2,929) acres two (2) roods, being parts Rakaiatai No. 1, Otanga, and Te Ohu Blocks, being Lot 1 on Deposited Plan 6613, part Lot 1 on Deposited Plan 6600, Lots 1 and 2 on Deposited Plan 6818, and Lot 1 on Deposited Plan 2781, and being all the land in certificates of title, Vol. 66, folio 155, Vol. 106, folio 220, and Vol. 75, folio 230 (Hawke’s Bay Registry).

Approval of Testing Officers under the Motor-drivers Regulations 1940
IN terms of Regulation 5 of the Motor-drivers Regulations 1940, the Minister of Transport doth hereby approve of the persons named in Column 2 of the Schedule hereunder being Testing Officers under the said regulations for the authorities specified in Column 1 of the said Schedule.

Declaring Area to be a Closely Populated Locality for the Purposes of the Motor-vehicles Amendment Act, 1936, Section 3
IN terms of section 3 of the Motor-vehicles Amendment Act, 1936, the Minister of Transport doth hereby declare the area described in the Schedule hereto to be a closely populated locality for the purposes of the said section to the intent that a person driving any motor-vehicle on any road, street, or other place to which the public have access therein shall be subject to the maximum speed limit of thirty miles an hour fixed by the said section.

SITUATED within Whangaroa County—
All that area at Kaeo consisting of that portion of the Pakaraka-Awanui via Mangonui Main Highway No. 308, commencing at a point 6 chains measured along the said main highway in an easterly direction from its junction with Martin’s Road, proceeding thence generally in a south-westerly direction and terminating at a point 4 chains measured along the said main highway in a westerly direction from the Kaeo Post-office.
