approve of the following appointments, promotions, transfers,
and retirements of officers of the New Zealand Military Forces :--

N.Z. STAFF CORPS
Major W. G. Gentry, D.S.O., O.B.E., to be temp. Brigadier
whilst employed as New Zealand Representative on Joint Chiefs
of Staff Organization in Australia (British Occupational Force for
Japan). Dated 9th March, 1946.

N.Z. PERMANENT STAFF
W.O.II Gregory Horace Perrett to be temp. Captain and
Quartermaster. Dated 22nd January, 1946.

REGIMENT OF ROYAL N.Z. ARTILLERY
W.O.I (temp. Lieutenant and Quartermaster) L. G. Dawson is
posted to the Retired List with the rank of Lieutenant and Quarter-
master. Dated 28th February, 1946.

N.Z. ARMY ORDNANCE CORPS
Captain A. H. Andrews, O.B.E., B.E., to be Major. Dated

Temp. Lieutenant S. H. Williams relinquishes his appointment
as temp. Captain in the N.Z. Temporary Staff and is posted to the
Retired List with the rank of Captain. Dated 16th March, 1946.

Peter Waterhouse Wilson (late temp. Lieutenant, R.N.Z.V.R.)
to be Lieutenant (on prob.), and is seconded to the Wanganui

EXPEDITIONARY FORCE
Brigadier W. G. Gentry, D.S.O., O.B.E., and is reposted to
the N.Z. Staff Corps with the rank of Major, with seniority from
lst September, 1939. Dated 8th March, 1946.
Major D. A. Greenslade, B.D.S., N.Z. Dental Corps, and is
reposted to the Territorial Force with the temporary rank of Major,
with seniority from 25th June, 1945. Dated 26th February, 1946.
Captain H. M. Foreman, M.B., Ch.B., N.Z. Medical Corps,
and is reposted to the Territorial Force with the temporary rank
of Captain, with seniority from 1st May, 1941. Dated 12th October,
1945.
Lieutenant J. W. Ridley, Corps of N.Z. Engineers, and is
reposted to the Territorial Force with the temporary rank of
Lieutenant, with seniority from 2nd April, 1943. Dated 23rd
February, 1946.
