A PROCLAMATION
IN pursuance and exercise of the powers and authorities vested in me by the Public Works Act, 1928, and of every other power and authority in anyway enabling me in this behalf, I, Cyril Louis Norton Newall, the Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, do hereby proclaim and declare that the land described in the Schedule hereto is hereby taken for irrigation purposes; and I do also declare that this Proclamation shall take effect on and after the eighth day of April, one thousand nine hundred and forty-six.
SCHEDULE
APPROXIMATE area of the piece of land taken: 3 acres 0 roods 28 perches.
Being Section 7, Block XX, Town of Arrowtown.
Situated in the Borough of Arrowtown (Otago R.D.). (S.O. 9473.)
In the Otago Land District; as the same is more particularly delineated on the plan marked P.W.D. 123139, deposited in the office of the Minister of Works at Wellington, and thereon coloured yellow.
Given under the hand of His Excellency the Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, and issued under the Seal of that Dominion, this 30th day of March, 1946.

Revoking a Proclamation taking Land for Irrigation Purposes in the Borough of Arrowtown

A PROCLAMATION
IN pursuance and exercise of the powers and authorities vested in me by the Public Works Act, 1928, and of every other power in anyway enabling me in this behalf, I, Cyril Louis Norton Newall, the Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, do hereby revoke the Proclamation dated the third day of December, one thousand nine hundred and forty-five, and published in the New Zealand Gazette No. 79 of the thirteenth day of the same month at page 1537, taking land for irrigation purposes in the Borough of Arrowtown.
Given under the hand of His Excellency the Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, and issued under the Seal of that Dominion, this 30th day of March, 1946.

Altering the Boundaries of the Waimea Electric-power District

A PROCLAMATION
IN pursuance and exercise of the powers conferred upon me by the Electric-power Boards Act, 1925, and of every other power in anyway enabling me in that behalf, I, Cyril Louis Norton Newall, the Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, do hereby alter the boundaries of the Waimea Electric-power District so as to include the area described in the Schedule hereto.
SCHEDULE
ALL that area of land in the Nelson Land District, County of Waimea, bounded by a line commencing at a point being the northernmost corner of Section 73, Square 23, situated in Block VI, Wakapuaka Survey District, and proceeding thence generally in a south-easterly direction along the north-eastern boundaries of Sections 73 and 11, Square 23, and Sections 71 and 39, Suburban North, across a road reserve and the Wakapuaka River, and again along the north-eastern boundaries of the said Section 39 and Sections 16 and 93, Suburban North, and Sections 3 and 3A, Square 23, to the eastern-most corner of the said Section 3A, Square 23; thence along the eastern and southern boundaries of the said Section 3A and along the eastern boundary of Section 82, Square 23, to the eastern corner of Section 49, Square 23; thence by the north-eastern boundaries of Section 77, Square 23, and Section 1, Block VI, Wakapuaka Survey District, and along the eastern boundary of the said Section 1, across the main road, and again along the eastern boundary of the said Section 1 to its southernmost point; thence by a right line across the Lud River and a road reserve to the northernmost corner of Section 6, Block X, Wakapuaka Survey District; thence along the eastern boundaries of Sections 6, 7, and 8, Block X aforesaid, and along the southern boundary of the said Section 8 to the point of intersection on the eastern boundary of Section 92; thence by the eastern boundaries of Sections 92 and 93 and along a portion of the southern boundary of Section 93, the eastern and portion of the southern boundaries of Section 94, Block X aforesaid, to the north-eastern corner of Section 88, Square 23; thence along the eastern and southern boundaries of the said Section 88 to its south-western corner; thence by a right line across the Teal River and a road reserve to the south-eastern corner of Section 5, Block X, Wakapuaka Survey District; thence along the southern and western boundaries of the said Section 5 to its northernmost corner, the southern boundaries of Sections 3 and 4, Block X aforesaid, and Section 92, Suburban North, and portion of the western boundary of the said Section 92 to the south-eastern corner of Section 1, Block X aforesaid; thence along the southern and western boundaries of the said Section 1, the western boundaries of Sections 19 and 18, Block X aforesaid, and Section 48, Square 23, to the south-western corner of Section 18, Square 23; thence along the south-western boundary of the said Section 18 to its westernmost corner on the boundary of the Waimea Electric-power District, as described in the New Zealand Gazette, 1929, at page 1312; thence along the boundary of the said Electric-power District to the point of commencement. As the same is more particularly delineated on the plan marked P.W.D. 123174, deposited in the office of the Minister of Works at Wellington, and thereon bordered red.

Consenting to the Raising of a Loan of £982 by the Bay of Islands County Council and prescribing the Conditions thereof

At the Government Buildings at Wellington, this 27th day of March, 1946
Present:
THE RIGHT HON. W. NASH PRESIDING IN COUNCIL
WHEREAS the Bay of Islands County Council (hereinafter called the said local authority) proposes, pursuant to the provisions of section three of the Main Highways Amendment Act, 1928, to borrow the sum of nine hundred and eighty-two pounds (£982), by a loan to be known as Main Highways Loan, 1946 (hereinafter called the said loan), for the purpose of paying its portion of the cost of renewing the Te Keene Bridge on the Pakaraka-Awanui Main Highway:
Now, therefore, His Excellency the Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council of the said Dominion, and in pursuance and exercise of the powers and authorities conferred on him by section eleven of the Local Government Loans Board Act, 1926, as set out in section twenty-nine of the Finance Act, 1932 (No. 2), and of all other powers and authorities enabling him in this behalf, doth hereby consent to the raising by the said local authority of the said loan for the said purpose up to the amount of nine hundred and eighty-two pounds (£982), and in giving such consent doth hereby determine as follows:-
(1) The term for which the said loan or any part thereof may be raised shall be ten (10) years.
(2) The rate of interest that may be paid in respect of the said loan or any part thereof shall be such as shall not produce to the lender or lenders a rate exceeding three pounds fifteen shillings (£3 15s.) per centum per annum.
(3) The said loan, together with interest thereon, shall be repaid by equal aggregate annual instalments extending over the term as determined in (1) above.
(4) No moneys shall be borrowed under this consent after the expiration of two years from the date hereof.

THE RIGHT HON. W. NASH PRESIDING IN COUNCIL
WHEREAS the Auckland City Council (hereinafter called the said local authority), being desirous of raising a loan of fifty-two thousand two hundred pounds (£52,200), to be known as Housing (Titoki Street) Loan, 1946 (hereinafter called the said loan), for the purpose of moving, re-erecting, and converting transit houses, and providing roading, drainage, paths, water, gas, and electricity, and other services necessary therefor on a property owned by the Auckland City Council in Titoki Street, Auckland, has complied with the provisions of the Local Government Loans Board Act, 1926 (hereinafter called the said Act), and it is expedient that the precedent consent of the Governor-General in Council, as required by the said Act, should be given to the raising of the said loan:
