Exemption Order under the Transport Legislation Emergency Regulations 1940
Pursuant to the Transport Legislation Emergency Regulations 1940, the Minister of Transport doth hereby order and declare that the provisions of clause (1) of Regulation 7 of the Motor-drivers Regulations 1940, so far as they relate to the driving of heavy trade motors, shall not apply to the persons hereinafter mentioned, but in lieu thereof the following provision shall apply:—
A motor-driver’s license issued under the Motor-drivers Regulations 1940 to any one of the persons described in Column 1 of the Schedule hereunder may authorize him to drive a heavy trade motor for the purpose of the business of the respective employer described in Column 2 of the said Schedule, but shall not authorize him, while he is under the age of eighteen years, to drive a heavy trade motor for any other purpose.

Notice to Persons affected by Applications for Licenses under Part III of the Industrial Efficiency Act, 1936
Manufacture for Sale of Footwear
E. B. Barber, Commerce Building, Anzac Avenue, Auckland, has applied for a license to permit the manufacture of beach sandals, men’s 5’s to 10’s, women’s 2’s to 6’s, and children’s 7’s to 1’s, by the riveted and fair-stitched processes.
R. G. McKinlay, 53 Signal Hill Road, Dunedin, has applied for an extension of his existing license so as to permit the manufacture of men’s, women’s, youths’, maids’, boys’, and girls’ footwear by the Veldtschoen process.
W. F. Davies, Church Street, Opotiki, has applied for a license to commence the manufacture of shoes of the sandal type by the riveted and machine-sewn processes, sales through own shop.
Retail Sale and Distribution of Motor-spirit
L. J. Edmonds, Jones Street, Wanganui East, has applied for a license to resell motor-spirit from one petrol pump to be installed at garage premises, Jones Street, Wanganui East.
P. A. Perno, care of Post-office, Matangi, Waikato, has applied for a license to resell motor-spirit from one petrol pump to be installed at garage premises which are being erected at the corner of Morrinsville and Tauwhare Roads, Waikato.
J. R. and G. Sucich, Waihopo, have applied for a license to resell motor-spirit from one petrol pump to be installed at store premises, Waihopo.
Persons considering themselves materially affected by the decision of the Bureau of Industry on these applications should make any desired representations in writing to the Secretary, Bureau of Industry, G.P.O. Box 3025, Wellington, not later than 31st January, 1946.
