Declaring Lands in the Hawke’s Bay Land District to be subject to the Provisions of Section 23 of the Reserves and other Lands Disposal Act, 1939

A PROCLAMATION

WHEREAS by section twenty-three of the Reserves and other Lands Disposal Act, 1939, it is enacted that the Governor-General may by Proclamation declare any lands of the Crown to be subject to the provisions of that section to enable certain readjustment of leases and licenses to be carried into effect :

And whereas it is deemed expedient that the lands described in the Schedule hereto should be subject to the provisions of the said section :

Now, therefore, in pursuance and exercise of the powers and authorities so conferred upon me by subsection one of the aforesaid section twenty-three, I, Cyril Louis Norton Newall, the Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, do hereby proclaim and declare that, from and after the date of the gazetting hereof, the lands described in the Schedule hereto shall be subject to the provisions of the said section twenty-three of the Reserves and other Lands Disposal Act, 1939.

A PROCLAMATION

IN pursuance of the power and authority conferred upon me by section two of the Native Housing Amendment Act, 1938, I, Cyril Louis Norton Newall, the Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, do hereby proclaim and declare that the area of Crown land described in the Schedule hereto shall be and the same is hereby set apart for the purposes of the Native Housing Act, 1935.

SECTION 4, Block IV: Area, 3 roods 18 perches.

Lands reserved under the Scenery Preservation Act, 1908

A PROCLAMATION

WHEREAS the Scenery Preservation Board, constituted pursuant to the Scenery Preservation Act, 1908 (hereinafter referred to as “the said Act”), has recommended that the lands described in the Schedule hereto should be permanently reserved for scenic purposes, and it is expedient to give effect to such recommendation :

Now, therefore, I, Cyril Louis Norton Newall, the Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, in pursuance and exercise of the powers conferred by the said Act, do hereby proclaim and declare that the lands described in the Schedule hereto shall be scenic reserves under the said Act, and subject to the provisions thereof.

SCHEDULE
NORTH AUCKLAND LAND DISTRICT
ALL that area in the Waitemata County, situated in Block III, Waitemata Survey District, containing by admeasurement 2 acres and 8 perches, more or less, being Allotments 516, 517, 518, and 519, Paremoremo Parish. (S.O. plan 32133.)

Revocation of the Reservation of Portion of a Permanent State Forest

A PROCLAMATION

BY virtue and in exercise of the powers and authorities conferred upon me by the Forests Act, 1921–22, and pursuant to a resolution in that behalf passed by both Houses of Parliament, that is to say, by the Legislative Council on the second day of November, one thousand nine hundred and forty-five, and by the House of Representatives on the sixth day of December, one thousand nine hundred and forty-five, I, Cyril Louis Norton Newall, the Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, do hereby revoke (so far only as it relates to the land described in the Schedule hereto) the Proclamation of the twenty-fourth day of April, one thousand nine hundred and forty-one, published in the Gazette on the first day of May, one thousand nine hundred and forty-one, at page 1079, whereby the said land (with certain other land) was set apart as a permanent State forest, and declare that the reservation thereby affected is (so far only as aforesaid) revoked accordingly.

SCHEDULE
WELLINGTON LAND DISTRICT.—WELLINGTON CONSERVANCY
ALL that area in the Wellington Land District, Kaitieke County, containing by admeasurement 1 rood 17 perches, more or less, being Section 1, Block X, Tongariro Survey District (permanent State forest—Gazette, 1941, page 1079). As the same is more particularly delineated on plan No. 62/46, deposited in the Head Office of the State Forest Service at Wellington, and thereon bordered red.

Given under the hand of His Excellency the Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, and issued under the Seal of that Dominion, this 13th day of March, 1946.

Setting apart Tidal Land for Disposal under Section 146 of the Harbours Act, 1923

A PROCLAMATION

IN pursuance and exercise of the powers and authorities conferred by section one hundred and forty-six of the Harbours Act, 1923, and of the regulations made thereunder I, Cyril Louis Norton Newall, the Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, do hereby set apart the land described in the Schedule hereto for disposal under the section of the Act hereinbefore mentioned.

SCHEDULE
ALL those areas in the Bay of Islands County, containing by admeasurement 23 acres and 5 perches, more or less, being Sections 5 and 6, Block IX, Russell Survey District. As the same is more particularly delineated on plan marked M.D. 8466, deposited in the Head Office, Marine Department, at Wellington, and thereon bordered red.

As witness the hand of His Excellency the Governor-General, this 20th day of March, 1946.
