New Abridged Description: Fl. R. 6 sec. 18 ft. 6 M. (U).

Alteration: The light has been altered from fixed red to flashing red every six seconds with flash of two seconds.

Chart affected: No. 1970.

Notice to Persons affected by Applications for Licenses under Part III of the Industrial Efficiency Act, 1936

Manufacture for Sale of Footwear

K. Mouritsen, 18 Dickens Street, Napier, has applied for a license to manufacture beach clogs.

Radio-manufacturing Industry

A. Webb, Webb’s Radios, 11 Wellesley Street East, Auckland, has applied for an extension of his existing license so as to permit the manufacture of five hundred instead of one hundred sets per annum.

Retail Sale and Distribution of Motor-spirit

A. B. Chitty, Hamilton, has applied for a license to resell motor-spirit from two pumps to be installed at proposed garage and service-station premises at Tamahere on the Main Cambridge–Rotorua–Hamilton Highway.

M. R. Andrews, 1A Somerset Street, Hamilton, has applied for a license to resell motor-spirit from pumps to be installed at proposed service-station premises on the corner of Commerce Street and Lake Road, Frankton.

P. E. Smallfield, Puriri, Thames Line, has applied for a license to resell motor-spirit from four pumps to be installed outside garage premises, Puriri.

I. D. Wade, Tauriko, has applied for a license to resell motor-spirit from one pump to be installed at store premises, Tauriko.

Applicants and other persons considering themselves to be materially affected by the decisions of the Bureau of Industry on these applications should, not later than the 4th day of April, 1946, submit any written evidence and representations they may desire to tender. All communications should be addressed to the Secretary, Bureau of Industry, G.P.O. Box 3025, Wellington.

Notice to make Returns of Land under the Land and Income Tax Act, 1923.—Returns of Land

EVERY person and company, whether a taxpayer or not, being the owner of land in New Zealand within the meaning of the Land and Income Tax Act, 1923, and regulations thereunder, is hereby required to furnish on or before the 10th April, 1946, in the prescribed form, a return of such land as at 12 noon on 31st March, 1946, where the total unimproved value, as assessed under the valuation of Land Act, 1925, exceeds £500.

In the case of companies, such returns shall be delivered at or forwarded to the Branch Office of the Land and Income Tax Department where the company’s records are filed, and, in the case of individuals, partnerships, syndicates, and trusts the returns shall be delivered or forwarded to the Commissioner of Taxes, Wellington C. 3.

Any person failing to furnish a return at the prescribed time is liable to a penalty up to £100.

Return forms are available at any post-office or from any office of the Land and Income Tax Department.
