Exempting a certain Patriotic Purpose from the Patriotic Purposes Emergency Regulations 1939

PURSUANT to clause (5) of Regulation 3 of the Patriotic Purposes Emergency Regulations 1939, I, William Edward Parry, Minister of Internal Affairs, do hereby exempt from the application of the said regulations the collection of moneys by or under the authority of the trustees of the Commercial Travellers’ and Warehousemen’s Blind Services Fund No. 2 for the purposes of that fund, subject to the condition, however, that the rules relating to the said fund are approved by the Minister of Internal Affairs.

Exemption Order under the Motor-drivers Regulations 1940

PURSUANT to the Motor-drivers Regulations 1940,* the Minister of Transport doth hereby order and declare that the provisions of clause (1) of Regulation 7 of the said regulations, so far as they relate to the driving of heavy trade motors, shall not apply to the persons hereinafter mentioned, but in lieu thereof the following provision shall apply:—

A motor-driver’s license issued under the Motor-drivers Regulations 1940 to any one of the persons described in Column 1 of the Schedule hereunder may authorize him to drive a heavy trade motor in the course of his employment on a farm or market-garden of the respective employer described in Column 2 of the said Schedule, but shall not authorize him, while he is under the age of eighteen years, to drive a heavy trade motor for any other purpose.

Resumption of Administration of Part I of the Rabbit Nuisance Act, 1928, in Clarence Rabbit District—(Notice No. Ag. 4268)

WHEREAS the Clarence Rabbit Board has, by resolution passed by the said Board on the 8th day of February, 1946, requested the Minister of Agriculture to resume the administration of Part I of the Rabbit Nuisance Act, 1928, within the district under the jurisdiction of the said Board: And whereas it is deemed expedient to give effect to the request contained in the said resolution:

Now, therefore, in pursuance and exercise of the powers conferred upon him by section 91 of the said Act, the Minister of Agriculture doth hereby give notice that he will resume the administration of Part I of the said Act in the Clarence Rabbit District on the 1st day of April, 1946.
