Price Order No. 470 (Amending Price Order No. 358) (White Oats)

Pursuant to the powers conferred on it by the Control of Prices Emergency Regulations 1939,* the Price Tribunal, acting with the authority of the Minister of Industries and Commerce, doth hereby make the following amending Price Order:—

  1. This Order may be cited as Price Order No. 470, and shall be read together with and deemed part of Price Order No. 358† (hereinafter referred to as the principal Order).

  2. This Order shall come into force on the 15th day of December, 1945.

APPLICATION OF THIS ORDER

  1. (1) This Order applies with respect to all white oats which, being subject to the principal Order, are delivered to a purchaser at any time after the commencement of this Order.

(2) For the purposes of this clause, no oats shall be deemed to be delivered to a purchaser after the commencement of this Order if—

(a) In the case of oats delivered at the grower’s station, the trucks on which the oats are laden leave the grower’s station at any time before midnight on the 14th day of December, 1945:

(b) In the case of oats delivered on board any vessel, if the vessel on which the oats are laden leaves the port of shipment at any time before midnight on the said date.

(3) Except as provided in the last preceding subclause, oats shall be deemed to be delivered to a purchaser after the commencement of this Order, notwithstanding that they may have been actually laden on board any vessel or trucks before the commencement of this Order.

AMENDMENT OF PRICES UNDER PRINCIPAL ORDER

  1. The principal Order is hereby amended as follows:—

(a) By omitting from subclause (1) of clause 5 and from subclause (2) of clause 6 the price figure “3s. 8d.”, and substituting in each case the price figure “4s.”;

(b) By omitting from subclause (1) of clause 6 the price figure “3s. 9½d.”, and substituting the price figure “4s. 1½d.”.

Law Practitioners Amendment Act, 1935

Pursuant to the Law Practitioners Amendment Act, 1935, notice is hereby given that the Disciplinary Committee of the New Zealand Law Society on the 25th day of October, 1945, ordered that Michael Francis Grogan be suspended from practice as a Barrister and Solicitor of the Supreme Court of New Zealand for a period of two years as from the 25th day of October, 1945, and that he pay fifty guineas towards the costs incidental to the inquiry.

Manufacture of Wooden Heels

J. Edwards and Sons, Ltd., has applied for an extension of its existing license to establish a small manufacturing unit in Christchurch.

Retail Sale and Distribution of Motor-spirit

R. Gilbertson, 54 Harrison Street, Wanganui, has applied for a license to resell motor-spirit from three petrol pumps to be installed at proposed garage and service-station premises situated at Main North Road, Wanganui.

E. C. Clayton and R. E. Stevens, 57 Wakefield Avenue, Sumner, Christchurch, have applied for a license to resell motor-spirit from petrol pumps to be installed at proposed garage and service-station premises situated at the corner of Wakefield Avenue and Nayland Street, Sumner.

J. D. Lewis, 4 Maungakiekie Avenue, One Tree Hill, Auckland, has applied for a license to resell motor-spirit from four petrol pumps to be installed at proposed service-station premises situated at Mission Bay, Auckland.

C. C. Moore, Regent Street, Martinborough, has applied for a license to resell motor-spirit from four petrol pumps to be installed at proposed service-station premises, Martinborough.

F. M. Marshall, care of Post-office, Orewa, North Auckland, has applied for a license to resell motor-spirit from two petrol pumps to be installed at proposed service-station premises, Orewa.

C. Young, Patiki Road, Avondale, has applied for a license to resell motor-spirit from one petrol pump to be installed on premises situated at Manly Beach, Whangaparaoa.

Persons considering themselves materially affected by the decision of the Bureau of Industry on these applications should make any desired representations in writing not later than the 27th December, 1945, to the Secretary, Bureau of Industry, G.P.O. Box 3025, Wellington.
