OTAGO CENTRAL ELECTRIC-POWER BOARD
RESOLUTION MAKING SPECIAL RATE
IN pursuance and in exercise of the powers vested in it in that behalf by the Local Bodies’ Loans Act, 1926, and of all other powers (if any) it thereunto enabling, the Otago Central Electric-power Board hereby resolves as follows:—
“That, for the purpose of providing for the payment of principal, interest, and other charges on the Poolburn Reticulation Loan, 1944, authorized to be raised by the Otago Central Electric-power Board under the above-mentioned Act, for the purpose of erecting a main transmission-line to and the reticulation of the Poolburn portion of the Otago Central Electric-power District, the said Board hereby makes and levies a special rate of one and thirteen-sixteenths of a penny in the pound on the rateable value (on the basis of the capital value) of all rateable property in that portion of the Board’s district known as the Poolburn District, and being more particularly described as all that area in the Otago Land District, including a portion of Vincent County, bounded by a line commencing at a point being the extreme north corner of Run 244F, Tiger Hill Survey District; thence in a south-westerly direction along the western boundaries of Runs 244F, 244I, and 244K to the south-west corner of Run 244K; thence in a south-easterly direction along the southern boundary of Run 244K to the extreme north corner of Run 220D, Tiger Hill Survey District; thence in a south-westerly direction along the western boundaries of Runs 220D and 220E to the south-west corner of 220E; thence in a south-easterly direction along the southern boundary of Run 220E to its junction with Section 4, Block XIII, Tiger Hill Survey District; thence in a south-westerly direction along the western boundary to its south-west corner; thence south-easterly along the southern boundary; thence north-easterly along the eastern boundary of said Section 4, Block XIII, to the south-west corner of Section 2, Block XIII, Tiger Hill Survey District; thence south-easterly along the southern boundaries of Section 2, Block XIII, and Section 10, Block IX, to the eastern side of the public by-road; thence in a north-easterly direction along the eastern side of the said public by-road to its intersection with the western boundary of Section 10, Block XII, Tiger Hill Survey District; thence in a southerly direction along the western boundary of the said Section 10, Block XII, to its most southerly point; thence in a north-easterly direction along the southern boundaries of Sections 10, 3, and 16, Block XII, Tiger Hill Survey District, to its intersection with the western boundary of Run 261P, Tiger Hill Survey District; thence in a north-easterly direction along the north-western boundary of Run 261P; thence in a south-easterly direction along the northern boundary of the said Run 261P to the Tiger Hill Survey District boundary; thence northerly along the said boundary between Tiger Hill Survey District and Poolburn Survey District to its intersection with the south-western boundary of Run 261N, Poolburn Survey District; thence south-easterly along the south-western boundary of the said Run 261N to its most southerly corner; thence north-easterly along the eastern boundaries of Runs 261N, 261M, 261L, 261J, 261I, and 261H, Poolburn Survey District, to the north-east corner of Run 261H; thence north-westerly along the Poolburn Survey District’s northern boundary to the point where it meets the Poolburn Creek; thence following the southern bank of the Poolburn Creek until it meets the Manuherikia River; thence in a south-westerly direction along the southern bank of the Manuherikia River to its junction with the Lauder Creek; thence in a south-westerly direction along the present boundary of the Otago Central Electric-power District to the point of commencement, the said area being more particularly shown on plan marked P.W.D. 96726, deposited in the office of the Minister of Public Works, and thereon edged red, which said land is portion of the land comprised in a Proclamation appearing in the New Zealand Gazette of the 16th day of September, 1937, at page 2172; and that such special rate shall be an annually recurring rate during the currency of such loan and be payable yearly on the 1st day of December in each year during the currency of such loan, being a period of twenty-five (25) years or until the loan is fully paid off.”
I hereby certify that the above is a true and correct copy of a resolution passed at a meeting of the Otago Central Electric-power Board held on Tuesday, the 20th day of November, 1945, at Alexandra.

In the matter of the Companies Act, 1933, and in the matter of AULSEBROOK AND COMPANY, LIMITED, a private company incorporated under the Companies Act, 1908.
NOTICE is hereby given that a petition presented to the Supreme Court of New Zealand on the 30th day of November, 1945, for confirming the reduction of the capital of the above-named company from £300,000 to £200,000, by paying off as capital in excess of the wants of the company 100,000 of the shares of the company and by returning to shareholders such capital, is directed to be heard at the Supreme Court House, Christchurch, on Friday, the 14th day of December, 1945, at 10 o’clock in the forenoon.
Any creditor desiring to oppose the making of an order for the reduction of the capital of the company under the above Act may appear at the time of hearing by himself or by his counsel for that purpose. Such person is required to give two clear days’ notice in writing of his intention to appear, with the grounds of his objection, to the undersigned, the solicitors of the company. A copy of the petition will be furnished to any such person requiring the same by the undersigned on payment of the regulation charges for the same.
