Revocation of Prohibition of Use of Radio by Ships in Harbour
WHEREAS pursuant to Regulation 92 of the Radio Regulations 1932, made under the authority of the Post and Telegraph Act, 1928, notice bearing date the 2nd day of September, 1939, and published in the Gazette on the same day at page 2311, was given that the use of radio by ship-stations in harbour was prohibited, and that the provisions of the said Regulation 92 should be in force until further notification :
Now, therefore, in further pursuance of the said Regulation 92, I hereby give notice that the aforesaid notice of date the 2nd day of September, 1939, is countermanded.
As witness my hand at Wellington, this 6th day of November, 1945.

Alteration of Boundaries of Kaingaroa Fire District
WHEREAS by a notice published in the Gazette on the 26th day of January, 1939, at page 135 (hereinafter referred to as “the said notice”), a certain area in the Auckland Land District was declared to be a fire district under section 27 of the Forests Act, 1921–22 (hereinafter referred to as “the said Act”), and named the Kaingaroa Fire District :
And whereas it is expedient to alter the boundaries of the Kaingaroa Fire District :
Now, therefore, in pursuance of the said Act, and on the recommendation of the Director of Forestry and of the Land Board of the Auckland Land District, I hereby revoke the said notice, in so far as it relates to the Kaingaroa Fire District, and do declare the area described in the Schedule hereto to be a fire district to be known as the Kaingaroa Fire District, and I do further specify the period from the 1st day of October in any year to the 15th day of April in the following year, inclusive, as the period during which it shall not be lawful for any person within the said district, save pursuant to the written permit of a Forest Officer, to set on fire or cause to be set on fire any timber, whether standing or not, or any undergrowth, or any debris from forest operations, or any grass, or other specially inflammable material, without taking such precautions as may be prescribed by a Forest Officer.
SCHEDULE
AUCKLAND LAND DISTRICT.—ROTORUA CONSERVANCY
Kaingaroa Fire District
ALL that area in the Auckland Land District, Taupo, Rotorua, and Whakatane Counties, containing approximately 573,180 acres, situated in Tarawera, Paeroa, Kaingaroa, Galatea, Takapau, Waeo, Tauhara, Otukotara, Heruwi, Ahikereru, Waitahanui, Maruanui, and Runanga Survey Districts, and bounded generally as follows: Commencing at the intersection of the left bank of the Rangitaiki River with the northern boundary of Block II, Galatea Survey District; thence proceeding generally southward along the left banks of the Rangitaiki and Whirinaki Rivers
to a point on the left bank of the last-named river, situated 40 chains eastward of the right bank of the Rangitaiki River; thence generally southward along a line parallel to and situated 40 chains to the eastward of the right banks of the Rangitaiki and Whaeo Rivers to the Mangaretu Stream; thence southward along the said stream and the eastern boundaries of Heruwi No. 4A Nos. 2 and 1 to Trig. Station Tiri Tiri; thence along the south-eastern boundary of Heruwi No. 4A No. 1; thence southward and westward along the eastern and southern boundaries of Pukahunui No. 2 to an angle in the boundary about 80 chains north-west of a road; thence westward along a straight line for a distance of about 90 chains to Trig. Station No. 52 (Kokomoka), in Block XIII, Heruwi Survey District; thence in a south-westerly direction along a straight line to Trig. Station No. 50 (Omeruiti), in Block VII, Maruanui Survey District; thence in a westerly direction along a straight line to Trig. Station 48A in Block VI, Maruanui Survey District; thence along a straight line to Trig. Station Wairangi in Block VII, Waitahanui Survey District; thence in a north-westerly direction along a straight line between Trig. Station Wairangi aforesaid and Trig. Station No. 45 in Block XIII, Tauhara Survey District, to and across the National Park—Taupo State Highway; thence northerly along the western side of the National Park—Taupo State Highway to a point in line with the southern boundary of Section 39, Block VI, Tauhara Survey District; thence north-easterly along the south-eastern boundaries of Section 39 aforesaid and to the centre of the Taupo—Napier State Highway; thence south-easterly along the centre of the said road to the ten-mile peg; thence north-easterly along a straight line to the intersection of the south-western boundary of Kaingaroa No. 2 West No. 2 with a line parallel to and 40 chains north-west from the north-western boundary of Run 60 (permanent State forest—Gazette, 1930, page 2639); thence along lines drawn parallel to and 40 chains north-west from the north-western boundaries of Run 60 to Lot 1 of Kaingaroa No. 2 West No. 1 Block; thence along the south-western boundary of the said Lot 1 to the Waikato River; thence generally in a north-easterly direction along the right bank of the Waikato River to and across the Taupo—Rotorua State Highway and along the north-western side of the Taupo—Rotorua State Highway to the junction of the latter roadside with the north-eastern boundary produced of Rotomahana—Parekarangi No. 3A No. 3B No. 2; thence in a north-westerly direction along a straight line to Trig. Station No. 30 (Maungaongaonga); thence in a north-easterly direction to the intersection of the north-eastern boundary of Rotomahana—Parekarangi No. 6A Section 2 No. 1B with the northern boundary of Block III, Paeroa Survey District; thence due eastward to the left bank of the Rangitaiki River, the point of commencement. As the same is more particularly delineated on plan No. 47/48, deposited in the Head Office of the State Forest Service at Wellington, and thereon bordered red.

Authorizing the Laying-off of Roads of less Width than 66 ft.
WHEREAS in the opinion of the Minister of Lands it is inexpedient, by reason of the fact that the land shown upon the plan of Town of Buller, affecting Section 41 and Crown land, Block V, Inangahua Survey District, Nelson Land District, is intended to be used wholly for residential purposes, that the roads shown as Halifax Street, Lancaster Street, and the blind street on south boundary of Lot 48 thereon should be of the width of 66 ft. :
Now, therefore, in pursuance of the power conferred upon him by section 17, subsection (1), of the Land Act, 1924, and of every other power him thereunto enabling, the Minister of Lands doth hereby authorize the laying-off of the roads shown as Halifax Street, Lancaster Street, and blind street on south boundary of Lot 48 of a width of not less than 50 ft. : Provided always that it shall not be lawful for any person to erect or cause to be erected any building at a less distance than 33 ft. from the middle of such roads.
Given under the hand of the Minister of Lands, this 9th day of November, 1945.

Authorizing the Laying-off of a Road of less Width than 66 ft.
WHEREAS in the opinion of the Minister of Lands it is inexpedient, by reason of the fact that the land shown upon the plan of Town of Paraparaumu Beach Extension No. 18, affecting part Ngarara West B No. 7 Sub. 3, Block III, Kapiti Survey District, Wellington Land District, is intended to be used wholly for residential purposes, that the proposed road shown as Lot 42 thereon should be of the width of 66 ft. :
Now, therefore, in pursuance of the power conferred upon him by section 17, subsection (1), of the Land Act, 1924, and of every other power him thereunto enabling, the Minister of Lands doth hereby authorize the laying-off of the proposed road shown as Lot 42 of a width of not less than 40 ft. : Provided always that it shall not be lawful for any person to erect or cause to be erected any building at a less distance than 33 ft. from the middle of such road.
Given under the hand of the Minister of Lands, this 8th day of November, 1945.
