Industrial Man-power Emergency Regulations 1944.—Amendment to Declaration of Essential Undertakings No. 6

IN pursuance of the powers conferred upon him by Regulation 11 of the Industrial Man-power Emergency Regulations 1944, the Minister of Industrial Man-power doth hereby amend the Declaration of Essential Undertakings No. 6 by inserting after the words “private hospitals” the words “and hospitals and therapeutic institutions subsidiary thereto operated by State Departments.”

THE Controller of Man-power doth hereby give notice that the Hon. the Minister of Industrial Man-power has made the following amendments to declarations of essential undertakings as enumerated hereunder as from the dates indicated :—

Declaration No. 59, 16th October, 1945
Addition—
The Dovetail Tile Co., Ltd., at Awaroa Road, Henderson.

Declaration No. 62, 19th October, 1945
Deletion—
McKay Co-operative Orthopaedic Society, Ltd., at Wellington.
Addition—
Artificial Limb Factory of the Disabled Servicemen’s Re-establishment League (Incorporated), at Wellington.

Declaration by the Public Service Commissioner fixing Time for the Regrading of the Public Service

WHEREAS by notice published in the Gazette on the 13th day of November, 1941, at page 3657, and given under the provisions of the Government Service Grading Emergency Regulations 1941,* it was declared that the regrading of officers referred to in section 17 of the Public Service Act, 1912, was postponed until such time as might be fixed for such regrading to be undertaken by notice given under the aforesaid regulations by the Commissioner and published in the Gazette :
Now, therefore, I, John Henry Boyes, Public Service Commissioner, acting under the aforesaid regulations, hereby give notice fixing the time for such regrading to be undertaken as the 1st day of April, 1946.

Notice to Persons affected by Applications for Licenses under Part III of the Industrial Efficiency Act, 1936

Taking of Fish for Sale

Keith Rayner, South Bay, Kaikoura, has applied for a license to permit him to operate his 16 ft. outboard-motor boat “Gin” (not yet registered), using set-nets, long lines, hand-lines, and crayfish-pots, catches to be landed at Kaikoura.
Alexander Watts, care of J. Lewis, R.M.D., Maungaturoto, has applied for a license to operate his 22 ft. launch “Dell” (not yet registered), using set-nets, long lines, and hand-lines, catches to be landed at Batley.
Alex. George McKeown, 412 Point Chevalier Road, Auckland, has applied for a license to operate the fishing-vessel “West Wind,” AK. 412, using purse seine nets, trawl-nets, set-nets, drag-nets, long lines, hand-lines, and crayfish-pots, catches to be landed at Auckland.
D. S. McCallum, 295A Church Street, Onehunga, has applied for a license to permit him to operate his 18 ft. 22 h.p. engined vessel “June NE” (not yet registered), using set-nets, long lines, and hand-lines, catches to be landed at Onehunga.
B. A. T. Henderson, Seacliff, Otago, has applied for a license to operate the fishing-vessel “Prowler,” DN. 188, using trawl-nets, long lines, hand-lines, and crayfish-pots, catches to be landed at Karitane.

Fish-canner’s License

J. R. King, Woollam Street, Coromandel, has applied for a license to permit him to carry on the industry described as “The preservation for sale in hermetically-sealed cans, jars, or other containers of fish,” in so far as it relates to the bottling of pickled, curried, and minced mussels, also herrings and herring-paste.

Manufacture of Radio Receiving-sets

Radio Service, Ltd., 243 MacAndrew Road, Dunedin, has applied for an extension of its existing license so as to permit the manufacture of unlimited radio sets.

Manufacture of Electric Ranges

Daly Bros., Ltd., Christchurch, has applied for a license to manufacture rangettes.

Pharmacy Industry

L. C. Day has applied for permission to open a new pharmacy at Garden Place, Hamilton.
B. E. Horrocks has applied for permission to open a new pharmacy at Taupo.
T. I. McCluggage has applied for permission to open a new pharmacy in the vicinity of the corner of Duke Street and Mount Eden Road, Auckland.
C. W. Hoskin has applied for permission to open a new pharmacy at 452 Mount Eden Road, Auckland.

Persons considering themselves materially affected by the decision of the Bureau of Industry on these applications should make any desired representations in writing not later than the 8th November, 1945, to the Secretary, Bureau of Industry, G.P.O. Box 3025, Wellington.
