Domain Board appointed to have Control of the Opoutama Domain

At the Government House at Wellington, this 17th day of October, 1945
Present:
HIS EXCELLENCY THE GOVERNOR-GENERAL IN COUNCIL
IN pursuance and exercise of the powers conferred by section forty-eight of the Public Reserves, Domains, and National Parks Act, 1928, His Excellency the Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council of the said Dominion, doth hereby appoint
The Wairoa County Council
to be the Opoutama Domain Board, having control of the land described in the Schedule hereto; and doth hereby appoint Wednesday, the fourteenth day of November, one thousand nine hundred and forty-five, at four o’clock p.m., as the time when, and the Wairoa County Council Chambers, Queen Street, Wairoa, as the place where, the first meeting of the Board shall be held.

SCHEDULE
OPOUTAMA DOMAIN.—HAWKE’S BAY LAND DISTRICT
ALL that area containing by admeasurement 9 acres 2 roods 11·8 perches, more or less, being part Section 21, Block III, Mahanga Survey District: Bounded generally towards the north by Block I, Kopuawhara Crown Grant District, 1230·0 links; towards the south-east by a public road, 1901·1 and 69·4 links; towards the south by a public road, 122·2 links; and towards the north-west by a public road, 672·7, 520·6 links; and by closed road, 177·8 links: be all the aforesaid linkages more or less. As the same is delineated on the plan marked L. and S. 1/868a, deposited in the Head Office, Department of Lands and Survey, at Wellington, and thereon bordered red. (S.O. plans 2088 and 2100.)

As the same is more particularly delineated on the plan marked L. and S. 1/758c, deposited in the Head Office, Department of Lands and Survey, at Wellington, and thereon edged red.

At the Government House at Wellington, this 24th day of October, 1945
Present:
HIS EXCELLENCY THE GOVERNOR-GENERAL IN COUNCIL
WHEREAS in pursuance of section one hundred and thirty-six of the Municipal Corporations Act, 1933, four petitions were presented to the Governor-General praying that certain areas of land be excluded from the County of Waimairi and included in the City of Christchurch:
And whereas Commissions appointed under the said section held inquiries and recommended that the said areas be excluded from the County of Waimairi and included in the City of Christchurch:
And whereas it is deemed expedient to make the alterations of boundaries recommended by the said Commissions:
Now, therefore, in pursuance and exercise of the powers and authorities vested in him by the said Municipal Corporations Act, 1933, and of all other powers and authorities enabling him in that behalf, His Excellency the Governor-General, acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council, doth hereby declare that as on and from the first day of April, one thousand nine hundred and forty-six, the areas described in the Schedule hereto shall be excluded from the County of Waimairi and included in the City of Christchurch.
