Appointment of Building Controller

I N exercise of all the powers and authorities conferred by the Supply Control Emergency Regulations 1939 and the Building Emergency Regulations 1939, I, Robert Semple, Minister of Works, do hereby revoke the appointment dated 19th April, 1940, of George William Albertson as Building Controller, and do hereby appoint Reginald Leigh MacPhail to be Building Controller for the purpose of the Building Emergency Regulations 1939.

Notice of Intention to take Land in Block IX, Rotoma Survey District, for a Pumice-pit

N OTICE is hereby given that it is proposed, under the provisions of the Public Works Act, 1928, to take the land described in the Schedule hereto for a pumice-pit: And notice is hereby further given that a plan of the land required to be taken is deposited in the post-office at Rotorua and is there open for inspection; and that all persons affected by the taking of the said land should, if they have any well-grounded objections to the taking of such land, set forth the same in writing, and send such writing, within forty days from the first publication of this notice, to the Minister of Works at Wellington.

SCHEDULE

APPROXIMATE area of the piece of land required to be taken: 4 acres 2 roods.

Being part Te Tautara Block.

Situated in Block IX, Rotoma Survey District (Auckland R.D.). (S.O. 32370.)

In the Auckland Land District; as the same is more particularly delineated on the plan marked P.W.D. 119586, deposited in the office of the Minister of Works at Wellington, and thereon coloured yellow.

Notice of Intention to take Land in Block X, Christchurch Survey District, for an Automatic-telephone Exchange subject as to Part to Storm-water Rights

N OTICE is hereby given that it is proposed, under the provisions of the Public Works Act, 1928, to execute a certain public work—to wit, the construction of an automatic-telephone exchange—and for the purposes of such public work the land described in the Schedule hereto is required to be taken subject to the storm-water rights over Lot 9, D.P. 11923, reserved by Memorandum of Transfer No. 249784, Canterbury Land Registry: And notice is hereby further given that the plan of the land so required to be taken is deposited in the post-office at Riccarton and is there open for inspection; and that all persons affected by the execution of the said public work or by the taking of the said land should, if they have any well-grounded objections to the execution of the said public work or to the taking of such land, set forth the same in writing, and send such writing, within forty days from the first publication of this notice, to the Minister of Works at Wellington.
