Revoking Part of a Proclamation Defining the Middle-line of a Road
in Blocks VI and VII, Titirangi Survey District—viz., Portion
of the Waitakerei Ridgeway Drive

A PROCLAMATION

IN pursuance and exercise of the powers and authorities vested
in me by the Public Works Act, 1928, and of every other
power and authority in anywise enabling me in this behalf, I, Cyril
Louis Norton Newall, the Governor-General of the Dominion of
New Zealand, do hereby revoke the Proclamation dated the sixth
day of October, one thousand nine hundred and thirty-six, and
published in New Zealand Gazette No. 65 of the eighth day of the
same month, at page 1838, and registered under No. 9194, Auckland
Registry, defining the middle-line of a road in Blocks VI and VII,
Titirangi Survey District, in so far as it affects Lots 1, 3, and 4,
D.P. 32219, being portion of Allotments 17 and 83, Parish of Waiko-
miti, and being the whole of the land comprised and described in
Certificate of Title, Volume 826, folio 293 (Auckland Registry).

Given under the hand of His Excellency the Governor-General
of the Dominion of New Zealand, and issued under the
Seal of that Dominion, this 26th day of September, 1945.

Crown Land set apart as a Permanent State Forest

A PROCLAMATION

BY virtue and in exercise of the powers and authorities conferred
upon me by section eighteen of the Forests Act, 1921–22, I,
Cyril Louis Norton Newall, the Governor-General of the Dominion
of New Zealand, do hereby set apart the Crown land described in
the Schedule hereto as a permanent State forest.

SCHEDULE

WELLINGTON LAND DISTRICT.—WELLINGTON CONSERVANCY

ALL that area in the Wellington Land District, Waimarino County,
containing by admeasurement 27·23 perches, more or less, situated
in Block XII, Karioi Survey District, and being the Railway land
declared to be Crown land by a Proclamation dated the 27th day of
August, 1945, and published in New Zealand Gazette, 1945, page 1092.
As the same is more particularly delineated on plan No. 71/25,
deposited in the Head Office of the State Forest Service at Wellington,
and thereon coloured sepia. (S.O. plan 21306.)

Given under the hand of His Excellency the Governor-General
of the Dominion of New Zealand, and issued under the Seal
of that Dominion, this 26th day of September, 1945.

Land set apart as Provisional State Forest declared to be subject to
the Land Act, 1924

A PROCLAMATION

IN pursuance and exercise of the powers and authorities conferred
upon me by section twenty of the Forests Act, 1921–22, I,
Cyril Louis Norton Newall, the Governor-General of the Dominion
of New Zealand, acting on the recommendation of the Minister of
Lands, do hereby proclaim and declare that the land described in
the Schedule hereto, being portion of Provisional State Forest
Reserve set apart by Proclamation dated the fourth day of
November, one thousand nine hundred and forty-three, and gazetted
on the eleventh day of that month, is required for settlement
purposes; and, in accordance with the provisions of the said Act,
such land shall, from and after the day of the gazetting hereof,
cease to be provisional State forest, and shall become subject to the
provisions of the Land Act, 1924.

SCHEDULE

TARANAKI LAND DISTRICT

ALL that area containing 423 acres, more or less, being Section 6
and part Section 5, Block VIII, Ohura Survey District, and bounded
as follows: On the south-east by other part of Section 5, Block VIII,
Ohura Survey District, 8970·0 links; on the north-east generally
by Section 9, Block VIII, Ohura Survey District, 11795·9 links;
and on the west generally by Otunui Road, 1340·8 links, and
the Otunui Stream. As the same is more particularly delineated
on the plan marked L. and S. 26/20227, deposited in the Head
Office, Department of Lands and Survey, at Wellington, and thereon
bordered red.

Given under the hand of His Excellency the Governor-General
of the Dominion of New Zealand, and issued under the
Seal of that Dominion, this 28th day of September, 1945.

Cancelling the Vesting of a Reserve in the Tauranga County Council

ORDER IN COUNCIL

At the Government House at Wellington, this 26th day of
September, 1945

Present:

HIS EXCELLENCY THE GOVERNOR-GENERAL IN COUNCIL

WHEREAS the land described in the Schedule hereto is a
reserve for quarry purposes and is vested in the Tauranga
County Council:

And whereas it is expedient that the vesting of the said land as
hereinbefore referred to should be cancelled, and the Tauranga
County Council has duly consented to such cancellation:

Now, therefore, His Excellency the Governor-General of the
Dominion of New Zealand, acting by and with the advice and consent
of the Executive Council of the said Dominion, and in pursuance and
exercise of the powers and authorities conferred upon him by sub-
section one of section ten of the Public Reserves, Domains, and
National Parks Act, 1928, doth hereby cancel the vesting in the
Tauranga County Council of the land described in the Schedule
hereto.

Wellington Land District

HIS EXCELLENCY THE GOVERNOR-GENERAL IN COUNCIL

IN pursuance and exercise of the powers and authorities conferred
upon him by subsection one (b) of section seven of the Public
Reserves, Domains, and National Parks Act, 1928, His Excellency
the Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, acting by
and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council of the
said Dominion, doth hereby revoke the reservation for a site for
public buildings of the General Government over the land described
in the Schedule hereto; and doth hereby declare that the said land,
being vested in the Crown, is Crown land available for disposal under
the Land Act, 1924.

Consenting to the Raising of a Loan of £18,810 by the Howick Town
Board and prescribing the Conditions thereof

October, 1945

Present:

HIS EXCELLENCY THE GOVERNOR-GENERAL IN COUNCIL

WHEREAS by Order in Council made on the fourteenth day
of March, one thousand nine hundred and forty-five, consent
was given to the raising in New Zealand by the Howick Town Board
(hereinafter called “the said local authority”) of a loan of eleven
thousand two hundred and fifty pounds (£11,250), for the purpose
of improving the water-supply of the Town District of Howick,
pursuant to a requisition issued under section twenty-two of the
Health Act, 1920:

And whereas, pursuant to the terms of a further requisition
issued under section twenty-two of the Health Act, 1920, the said
local authority proposes to raise a further sum of seven thousand
five hundred and sixty pounds (£7,560), for the purpose of under-
taking additional water-supply improvements:

And whereas the said loan of eleven thousand two hundred
and fifty pounds (£11,250) has not yet been raised, and the said local
authority is desirous of raising the amounts of eleven thousand
two hundred and fifty pounds (£11,250) and seven thousand five
hundred and sixty pounds (£7,560) in one loan of eighteen thousand
eight hundred and ten pounds (£18,810), to be known as “Water-
supply Loan, 1945” (hereinafter called “the said loan”):

Now, therefore, His Excellency the Governor-General of the
Dominion of New Zealand, acting by and with the advice and consent
of the Executive Council of the said Dominion, and in pursuance
and exercise of the powers and authorities conferred on him by
section eleven of the Local Government Loans Board Act, 1926, as
set out in section twenty-nine of the Finance Act, 1932 (No. 2),
and of all other powers and authorities enabling him in this behalf,
doth hereby consent to the raising in New Zealand by the said
