Industrial Man-power Emergency Regulations 1944.—Revocation of Declaration of Essential Industry No. 133

IN pursuance of the powers conferred upon him by Regulation 11 of the Industrial Man-power Emergency Regulations 1944, the Minister of Industrial Man-power doth hereby revoke the Declaration of Essential Industry No. 133, as published in the New Zealand Gazette No. 10 of 24th February, 1943.

IN pursuance of the powers conferred upon him by Regulation 11 of the Industrial Man-power Emergency Regulations 1944, the Minister of Industrial Man-power doth hereby revoke the Declaration of Essential Undertaking No. 135, as published in the New Zealand Gazette No. 81 of the 16th September, 1943.

IN pursuance of the powers conferred upon him by Regulation 11 of the Industrial Man-power Emergency Regulations 1944, the Minister of Industrial Man-power doth hereby revoke the Declaration of Essential Industry No. 131, as published in the New Zealand Gazette No. 6 of 11th February, 1943.

Industrial Man-power Emergency Regulations 1944.—Revocation of Declaration of Essential Undertakings No. 152

IN pursuance of the powers conferred upon him by Regulation 11 of the Industrial Man-power Emergency Regulations 1944, the Minister of Industrial Man-power doth hereby revoke the Declaration of Essential Undertakings No. 152, as published in the New Zealand Gazette No. 78 of 7th September, 1944. This revocation affects the Reserve Bank of New Zealand.

The Servicemen’s Settlement and Land Sales Act, 1943.—Notice of Intention to take Land

THE Minister of Lands, acting in pursuance of section 24 of the Servicemen’s Settlement and Land Sales Act, 1943, hereby gives notice of his intention to take the lands described in the Schedule hereto under Part II of the said Act, and specifies the 31st day of May, 1946, as the date on which possession of the land is required, and the 6th day of November, 1945, as the date on or before which objections may be made under section 25 of the said Act.


SCHEDULE

TARANAKI LAND DISTRICT

ONE hundred and thirty-six (136) acres three (3) roods fourteen (14) perches, being Lot A, D.P. 2439, and being Section 364 and part of Section 366, Patea District, situated in Block XV, Hawera Survey District, and being all of the land in certificate of title, Vol. 59, folio 226.

One hundred and eighteen (118) acres three (3) roods twenty decimal seven (20·7) perches, being parts of Sections 347, 348, and 349, Patea District, situated in Block XIV, Hawera Survey District, and being all of the land in certificate of title, Vol. 94, folio 110, excepting thereout land taken by Proclamation registered as No. 1556.

One (1) acre three (3) roods eight (8) perches, being Section 636, Patea District, situated in Block XIV, Hawera Survey District, and being all of the land in certificate of title, Vol. 94, folio 243.

Fifty (50) acres one (1) rood thirty-six (36) perches, being Section 360, Patea District, situated in Block XV, Hawera Survey District, and being all of the land in certificate of title, Vol. 130, folio 277, limited as to parcels.

The Servicemen’s Settlement and Land Sales Act, 1943.—Notice declaring Land taken for the Settlement of Discharged Servicemen

WHEREAS an application has been made for the consent of the Land Sales Court to a transaction which relates to the land described in the Schedule hereto and to which Part III of the Servicemen’s Settlement and Land Sales Act, 1943, applies :

And whereas the Land Sales Committee to which the application has been referred is of opinion that the land to which the application relates is farm land suitable or adaptable for the settlement of discharged servicemen :

And whereas the said committee, not being satisfied that the Crown had decided not to acquire or arrange for the acquisition of the land, did on the 3rd day of September, 1945, make an order determining the basic value of the land and no appeal from the said order was made within the time prescribed by the said Act or within any further time allowed by the Court :

And whereas the said land is not the land of any serviceman who is for the time being serving outside New Zealand in any of His Majesty’s Forces or in any British ship :

Now, therefore, the Minister of Lands, acting in pursuance of section 51 of the said Act, doth hereby declare that the said land is taken for the settlement of discharged servicemen, and hereby specifies the 15th day of October, 1945, as the date on which the said land shall be deemed to be vested in His Majesty the King.


SCHEDULE

SOUTHLAND LAND DISTRICT

ALL those parcels of land containing four hundred and eighteen (418) acres three (3) roods nine (9) perches, more or less, being one hundred (100) acres one (1) rood twenty-five (25) perches, being part Section 15, Block I, Winton Hundred, and being all the land comprised in certificate of title, Vol. 3, folio 288 ; also two hundred and twelve (212) acres one (1) rood twelve (12) perches, being Section 11 and part Section 14, Block I, Winton Hundred, and being all the land comprised in certificate of title, Vol. 139, folio 28, limited as to parcels and title, together with right-of-way created by Transfer 77480 over part Lot 1, Deposited Plan 731, being part of the land in certificate of title, Vol. 77, folio 206 ; also one hundred and six (106) acres and twelve (12) perches, being Section 10, Block I, Winton Hundred, and being all the land comprised in certificate of title, Vol. 139, folio 29, limited as to parcels (Southland Registry).

Authorizing the Laying-off of a Road of less Width than 66 ft.

WHEREAS in the opinion of the Minister of Lands it is inexpedient, by reason of the fact that the land shown upon the plan of Town of Karitane Extension No. 1 affecting Allotment 14B, part Section 14, Block XII, Waikouaiti Survey District, Otago Land District, is intended to be used wholly for residential purposes, that the road shown thereon as Lot 17 should be of the width of 66 ft. :

Now, therefore, in pursuance of the power conferred upon him by section 17, subsection (1), of the Land Act, 1924, and of every other power him thereunto enabling, the Minister of Lands doth hereby authorize the laying-off of such road, being Lot 17, of a width not less than 50 ft. : Provided always that it shall not be lawful for any person to erect or cause to be erected any building at a less distance than 33 ft. from the middle of such road.

The Foodstuffs Rationing Coupon Notice (No. 2) 1944, Amendment No. 3

PURSUANT to the Rationing Emergency Regulations 1942, the Rationing Controller hereby gives the following directions :—

  1. This notice may be cited as the Foodstuffs Rationing Coupon Notice (No. 2) 1944, Amendment No. 3, and shall be read together with and deemed part of the Foodstuffs Rationing Coupon Notice (No. 2) 1944* (hereinafter referred to as the principal notice).

  2. This notice shall come into force on the 1st day of October, 1945.

  3. Clause 4 of the principal notice (which prescribes the four-weekly ration of sugar), as amended by the Foodstuffs Rationing Coupon Notice (No. 2) 1944, Amendment No. 1, is hereby further amended by omitting the expression “2½ lb.” and substituting the expression “3 lb.”

  4. The Foodstuffs Rationing Coupon Notice (No. 2) 1944, Amendment No. 1, is hereby revoked.
