Industrial Man-power Emergency Regulations 1944.—Declaration of
Essential Undertaking No. 162
IN pursuance of the powers conferred upon him by Regulation 11
and Regulation 17 of the Industrial Man-power Emergency
Regulations 1944, the Minister of Industrial Man-power doth hereby
declare the Second Division of the New Zealand Government
Railways, but not including the Road Services Branch, to be an
essential undertaking for the purposes of those regulations.

Industrial Man-power Emergency Regulations 1944.—Declaration of
Essential Undertaking No. 163
IN pursuance of the powers conferred upon him by Regulation 11
and Regulation 17 of the Industrial Man-power Emergency
Regulations 1944, the Minister of Industrial Man-power doth
hereby declare the Second Division of the Post and Telegraph
Department to be an essential undertaking for the purposes of
those regulations.

Industrial Man-power Emergency Regulations 1944.—Declaration of
Essential Undertaking No. 164
IN pursuance of the powers conferred upon him by Regulation 11
and Regulation 17 of the Industrial Man-power Emergency
Regulations 1944, the Minister of Industrial Man-power doth hereby
declare all the operations of the Price Tribunal under the control of
the Department of Industries and Commerce to be an essential
undertaking for the purpose of those regulations.

Industrial Man-power Emergency Regulations 1944.—Revocation of
Declaration of Essential Undertaking No. 31
IN pursuance of the powers conferred upon him by Regulation 11
of the Industrial Man-power Emergency Regulations 1944,
the Minister of Industrial Man-power doth hereby revoke the
Declaration of Essential Undertaking No. 31, as published in the
New Zealand Gazette No. 14 of 12th February, 1942. This revocation
affects the New Zealand Mercury Mines, Ltd.

Industrial Man-power Emergency Regulations 1944.—Revocation of
Declaration of Essential Undertaking No. 151
IN pursuance of the powers conferred upon him by Regulation 11
of the Industrial Man-power Emergency Regulations 1944,
the Minister of Industrial Man-power doth hereby revoke the
Declaration of Essential Undertaking No. 151, as published in the
New Zealand Gazette No. 64 of 27th July, 1944.

Industrial Man-power Emergency Regulations 1944.—Amendment to
Declaration of Essential Undertakings No. 51
IN pursuance of the powers conferred upon him by Regulation 11
of the Industrial Man-power Emergency Regulations 1944,
the Minister of Industrial Man-power doth hereby amend the
Declaration of Essential Undertakings No. 51 by adding thereto
the following clause: “Pursuant to the additional powers con-
ferred upon him by Regulation 17 of the Industrial Man-power
Emergency Regulations 1944, the Minister of Industrial Man-power
doth hereby further declare the operations of the Internal Marketing
Department in respect of the following plants to be an essential
undertaking for the purposes of this declaration :—
“Dehydration and vegetable packing plant at Pukekohe ;
“Apple dehydration plant at Motueka ;
“Dehydration plant at Christchurch ;
“Vegetable packing plant at Hastings.”

Industrial Man-power Emergency Regulations 1944.—Amendment to
Declaration of Essential Undertakings No. 92
IN pursuance of the powers conferred upon him by Regulation 11
of the Industrial Man-power Emergency Regulations 1944,
the Minister of Industrial Man-power doth hereby amend the
Declaration of Essential Undertakings No. 92 by deleting therefrom
the words :—
“Martha Gold Mining Company (Waihi), Limited, at Waihi.”

Industrial Man-power Emergency Regulations 1944.—Amendment to
Declarations of Essential Undertakings No. 99
IN pursuance of the powers conferred upon him by Regulation 11
of the Industrial Man-power Emergency Regulations 1944,
the Minister of Industrial Man-power doth hereby amend the
Declaration of Essential Undertakings No. 99 by adding thereto
the following clause : “Pursuant to the additional powers conferred
upon him by Regulation 17 of the Industrial Man-power Emergency
Regulations 1944, the Minister of Industrial Man-power doth hereby
further declare all afforestation operations being carried on by the
State Forest Service to be an essential undertaking for the purposes
of this declaration.”

Industrial Man-power Emergency Regulations 1944.—Amendment to
Declaration of Essential Industry No. 122
IN pursuance of the powers conferred upon him by Regulation 11
of the Industrial Man-power Emergency Regulations 1944, the
Minister of Industrial Man-power doth hereby amend the Declaration
of Essential Industry No. 122 by adding thereto, after the words
“Registered Private Schools,” the words “and the teaching staff of
Native schools and any other schools under the control of the
Education Department.”

Hop Marketing Committee
I, MAY WAREHAM, Returning Officer for the purpose of the
election of five (5) producers’ representatives for appointment
to the Hop Marketing Committee established by the Hop Marketing
Regulations 1939; made under the Marketing Act, 1936, and the
Agriculture (Emergency Powers) Act, 1934, do hereby declare the
result of the election on the poll which closed at Wellington at noon
on the 8th day of August, 1945, to be as follows :—

Notice to Persons affected by Applications for Licenses under
Part III of the Industrial Efficiency Act, 1936
Taking of Fish for Sale
Lewis J. Higham and Albert G. Higham, P.O. Box 188, Gis-
borne, have applied for a variation of their respective industrial
fishing licenses so as to permit them to operate a 52 ft. 130 h.p.
engined vessel (to be built), using trawl-nets, set-nets, drag-nets,
long lines, hand-lines, and crayfish pots, catches to be landed at
Gisborne.
A. W. Jensen and B. S. Jensen have applied for a variation
of their industrial fishing licenses in respect of the vessel “E.I.,”
NN. 822, so as to permit them to use in its place the 45 ft. 55 h.p.
engined vessel “Atatu” (not yet registered), using set-nets, drag-
nets, long lines, hand-lines, and crayfish pots, catches to be landed
at Nelson and Motueka.
Pharmacy Industry
J. G. Clark, 13 Wahanui Road, Ellerslie, Auckland, has applied
for a license to open a new pharmacy at Huntly.
W. Hoffmann, 785 Mount Eden Road, Auckland, has applied for
a license to open a new pharmacy at the corner of Three Kings
Road and Duke Street, Auckland.
Retail Sale and Distribution of Motor-spirit
Les. Maloney, Post-office Store, Hairini, has applied for a
license under the Industrial Efficiency Act to resell motor-spirit
from one petrol pump to be installed at the above premises.
Ronald Frank Von Hartitzch has applied for a license under
the Industrial Efficiency Act to resell motor-spirit from one petrol
pump to be installed inside new garage premises situated at High
Street, Lower Hutt.
Edward James Robb has applied for a license under the
Industrial Efficiency Act to resell motor-spirit from two petrol
pumps to be installed on proposed service-station premises situated
at Renwicktown.
Persons considering themselves materially affected by the
decision of the Bureau of Industry on these applications should
make any desired representations in writing not later than the
13th September, 1945, to G. L. O’Halloran, Secretary, Bureau
of Industry, G.P.O. Box 3025, Wellington.
