Notice to Persons affected by Applications for Licenses under Part III of the Industrial Efficiency Act, 1936

Taking of Fish for Sale

A. A. Hocquard, Alabama Road Blenheim, has applied for a variation of his existing license in respect of the “Lister Mavis,” PN. 16, so as to permit him to operate his 19 ft. 12 h.p. vessel “Star” (not yet registered), using trawl-nets, set-nets, drag-nets, long lines, hand-lines, and crayfish-pots, catches to be landed at Havelock and Wairau Bar.

K. R. Wilkins, Post-office, Whitianga, has applied for a license to permit him to operate a 32 ft. 35 h.p. vessel (to be purchased), using set-nets, drag-nets, long lines, hand-lines, and crayfish-pots, catches to be landed at Whitianga.

M. Jellick, R.D., Kohukohu, has applied for a license to permit him to operate his 25 ft. 14 h.p. vessel “Fernly” (not yet registered), using set-nets, long lines, and hand lines, catches to be landed at Tutekehua.

Retail Sale and Distribution of Motor-spirit

R. J. Renwick has applied for a license under the Industrial Efficiency Act to resell motor-spirit from one petrol pump to be installed at proposed service-station premises situated at Waipu.

D. I. Blue, 109 Nile Street, Nelson, has applied for a license under the Industrial Efficiency Act to resell motor-spirit from one petrol pump to be installed at garage premises situated at Brightwater.

W. James has applied for permission to shift the petrol pump from store premises situated at Main Street, Herekino, to new garage premises approximately 60 ft. distant from the store.

Manufacture for Sale of Footwear

Bridgens and Co., Ltd., 326 New North Road, Auckland, have applied for an extension of their existing license to permit the machining of uppers in Hamilton.

Persons considering themselves materially affected by the decision of the Bureau of Industry on these applications should make any desired representations in writing not later than the 6th September, 1945, to G. L. O’Halloran, Secretary, Bureau of Industry, G.P.O. Box 3025, Wellington.

Peters Shoes, Ltd., 57 Guinness Street, Greymouth, have applied for an extension of their existing license to permit the manufacture of maids’ and youths’ boots and shoes, sizes 2-6’s, by the machine-sewn, fair-stitched, and riveted processes.

Persons considering themselves materially affected by the decision of the Bureau of Industry on this application should make any desired representations in writing not later than the 31st August, 1945, to G. L. O’Halloran, Secretary, Bureau of Industry, G.P.O. Box 3025, Wellington.

PURSUANT to the powers conferred on it by the Control of Prices Emergency Regulations 1939,* the Price Tribunal, acting with the authority of the Minister of Industries and Commerce, doth hereby make the following amending Price Order :—

  1. This Order may be cited as Price Order No. 407, and shall be read together with and deemed part of Price Order No. 128† (hereinafter referred to as the principal Order).

  2. This Order shall come into force on the 27th day of August, 1945.

  3. The Second and Third Schedules to the principal Order, as set out in Price Order No. 406‡, are hereby revoked and the following Schedule substituted therefor respectively :—
