Domain Board appointed to have Control of the Ormondville Domain

At the Government House at Wellington, this 15th day of August, 1945
Present:
HIS EXCELLENCY THE GOVERNOR-GENERAL IN COUNCIL

IN pursuance and exercise of the powers conferred by the Public Reserves, Domains, and National Parks Act, 1928, His Excellency the Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council of the said Dominion, doth hereby revoke an Order in Council dated the twenty-seventh day of May, one thousand nine hundred and nineteen, and published in the Gazette of the twenty-ninth day of that month appointing a Domain Board to have control of the Ormondville Domain, and doth hereby appoint

Horace James Newling,
Arthur Basil Port,
Harold Onslow Baines,
Annie Douglas Wilson, and
Florence Vernon Hosking

to be the Ormondville Domain Board, having control of the land described in the Schedule hereto; and doth hereby appoint Thursday, the twenty-third day of August, one thousand nine hundred and forty-five, at half past seven o’clock p.m., as the time when, and the Ormondville Public Library, Ormondville, as the place where, the first meeting of the Board shall be held.

SCHEDULE

HAWKE’S BAY LAND DISTRICT.—ORMONDVILLE DOMAIN

ALL that area containing by admeasurement 15 acres 3 roods 20 perches, more or less, being Block I, Town of Ormondville. Bounded towards the north generally by the Mangarangiora Stream; towards the south-east by a railway reserve, 389·1 links, and by a public road 1 chain wide, 737 links; and towards the south-west and north-west by a public road 1½ chains wide, 1782 links, to the Mangarangiora Stream: save and except a road 150 links wide, which intersects the area herein described: be all the aforesaid linkages more or less. As the same is delineated on the plan marked L. and S. 50457/14A, deposited in the Head Office, Department of Lands and Survey, at Wellington, and thereon bordered red.

Also all that area containing by admeasurement 3 acres 2 roods 3 perches, more or less, being Section 1 (part of original reserve of 16 acres 1 rood), Block XIV, Ormondville Township. Bounded towards the north-east by school reserve, a distance of 587 links; towards the north-west by a public road, a distance of 750 links; towards the south-west by a public road, a distance of 339·2 links; and towards the south-east by railway reserve, a distance of 396 and 378·6 links respectively: be all the aforesaid linkages more or less. As the same is delineated on the plan marked L. and S. 1/622, deposited in the Head Office, Department of Lands and Survey, at Wellington, and thereon bordered red.

IN pursuance and exercise of the powers conferred by the Public Reserves, Domains, and National Parks Act, 1928, His Excellency the Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council of the said Dominion, doth hereby revoke an Order in Council dated the third day of July, one thousand nine hundred and forty, and published in the Gazette of the fourth day of that month appointing a Domain Board to have control of the Ngatea Domain, and doth hereby appoint

The Hauraki Plains County Council

to be the Ngatea Domain Board, having control of the land described in the Schedule hereto; and doth hereby appoint Wednesday, the twelfth day of September, one thousand nine hundred and forty-five, at three-thirty o’clock p.m., as the time when, and the County Council Chambers, Ngatea, as the place where, the first meeting of the Board shall be held.

NGATEA DOMAIN.—AUCKLAND LAND DISTRICT

ALL that area in the Hauraki Plains County containing by admeasurement 6 acres 3 roods and 29·4 perches, more or less, being Lot 1 on D.P. 29396, being part Section 25; Lot 1 on D.P. 21584, being part Section 22; Lot 2 on D.P. 13236, being part Section 35; Lot 8 on D.P. 20543, being part Section 17; Lot 11 on D.P. 16737, being part Section 24; all of Block I, Waihou Survey District.

Revoking the Reservation over a Reserve in the Town of Picton, Marlborough Land District

HIS EXCELLENCY THE GOVERNOR-GENERAL IN COUNCIL

IN pursuance and exercise of the powers and authorities conferred upon him by subsection one (b) of section seven of the Public Reserves, Domains, and National Parks Act, 1928, His Excellency the Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council of the said Dominion, doth hereby revoke the reservation for railway purposes over the land described in the Schedule hereto; and doth hereby declare that the said land, being vested in the Crown, is Crown land available for disposal under the Land Act, 1924.

MARLBOROUGH LAND DISTRICT

ALL that area containing by admeasurement 1 rood, more or less, being Section 658, Town of Picton, and being all the land described in Certificate of Title, Volume 17, folio 282. As the same is more particularly delineated on the plan marked L. and S. 6/6/37, deposited in the Head Office, Department of Lands and Survey, at Wellington, and thereon edged red.

Revoking the Reservation over a Public Reserve in the City of Christchurch, Canterbury Land District

ORDER IN COUNCIL
At the Government House at Wellington, this 15th day of August, 1945
Present:
HIS EXCELLENCY THE GOVERNOR-GENERAL IN COUNCIL

WHEREAS by subsection one (b) of section seven of the Public Reserves, Domains, and National Parks Act, 1928 (hereinafter referred to as “the said Act”), it is provided that the Governor-General may, from time to time, by Order in Council, revoke the reservation over any public reserve or part thereof, and thereupon the land comprised therein shall, if vested in the Crown or in any local authority or trustees deriving title from the Crown, become Crown land available for disposal under the Land Act, 1924, and in any other case may, subject to the provisions of subsection five of the said section seven of the said Act, be disposed of in such manner and for such purposes as may be stated in such Order in Council:

And whereas the land described in the Schedule hereto is a public reserve which on the subdivision of private property for residential purposes was conveyed, in trust, for the purpose of a public reserve to the body corporate called the Mayor, Councillors, and Citizens of the City of Christchurch:

And whereas it is expedient that the reservation over the said land be revoked:

And whereas the said body corporate has passed a resolution consenting to such revocation and has in all other respects complied with the provisions of subsections three and four of the said section seven of the said Act:

Now, therefore, in pursuance and exercise of the powers and authorities conferred upon him by subsection one (b) of section seven of the said Act, His Excellency the Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council of the said Dominion, doth hereby revoke the reservation for a public reserve over the land described in the Schedule hereto, and doth hereby declare that the said land may be disposed of by the said body corporate by way of sale by public auction or private contract at such price and on such terms and conditions as the said body corporate shall determine, but so that the proceeds of any such sale shall be used and applied in or towards the purchase of land for recreation purposes.

ALL that area containing by admeasurement 1 rood, more or less, being Lot 3 on plan deposited in the Land Registry Office at Christchurch as No. 8909, and being part Rural Section 14, situated in the City of Christchurch. As the same is more particularly delineated on the plan marked L. and S. 1/975P, deposited in the Head Office, Department of Lands and Survey, at Wellington, and thereon bordered red.
