A PROCLAMATION
IN pursuance and exercise of the powers and authorities vested in me by the Public Works Act, 1928, and of every other power and authority in anywise enabling me in this behalf, I, Cyril Louis Norton Newall, the Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, do hereby proclaim as stopped the Government road described in the Schedule hereto, such road being no longer required.

Given under the hand of His Excellency the Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, and issued under the Seal of that Dominion, this 7th day of August, 1945.

Increasing Borrowing-powers of New Plymouth Fire Board

Present:
His EXCELLENCY THE GOVERNOR-GENERAL IN COUNCIL
WHEREAS it is provided by section thirty-one of the Fire Brigades Act, 1926 (hereinafter called βthe said Actβ), that the Governor-General in Council may, on the application of any Fire Board established under the Fire Brigades Act, 1926, extend the powers of that Board to borrow moneys in excess of the limits fixed by the said section:
And whereas application has been made by the New Plymouth Fire Board for such increase in the borrowing-powers of the said Board as provided by the said section thirty-one, and it is desirable to grant such request:
Now, therefore, His Excellency the Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, in pursuance and exercise of the powers and authorities vested in him by the said Act, and acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council of the said Dominion, doth hereby declare that the powers of the said Board to borrow moneys in excess of the limits fixed by the said section thirty-one are hereby extended, but so as not to exceed the sum of twelve thousand six hundred and four pounds; provided that no moneys as aforesaid shall be borrowed except subject to the provisions of the Fire Brigades Act, 1926, and its amendments.

Present:
His EXCELLENCY THE GOVERNOR-GENERAL IN COUNCIL
WHEREAS in accordance with the provisions of the third section of the Land Drainage Act, 1908, a majority of the ratepayers in the area of land described in the Schedule hereto, situated within the Counties of Rotorua and Taupo, have presented a petition to His Excellency the Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand praying that the said area be constituted a drainage district under the provisions of the said Act:
Now, therefore, His Excellency the Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, in pursuance and exercise of the powers and authority contained in the third section of the Land Drainage Act, 1908, and acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council of the said Dominion, doth hereby constitute and declare the area of land described in the Schedule hereto to be a district for the purposes of Part I of the said Act, and to be called by the name of the 'Reporoa Drainage District'; and also, in pursuance and exercise of the power and authority contained in the fourth section of the said Act, doth hereby declare that the Board of Trustees of the said district shall consist of five persons to be elected as members of the said Board, and under and in accordance with the said Act.
SCHEDULE
DESCRIPTION OF BOUNDARIES OF REPOROA DRAINAGE DISTRICT
ALL that area in the Auckland Land District, in the Rotorua and Taupo Counties, bounded by a line commencing at a point being the south-western corner of Section 19s, Reporoa Settlement, and running north-westerly generally along the eastern side of the Rotorua-Taupo Main Highway to the south-western corner of Rotomahana-Parekarangi No. 3A 3A 2 Block; thence south-easterly along the south-western boundary of that block, and then again generally northerly along the south-eastern and north-eastern boundaries of part Paeroa East No. 4B 2E 1B Block and the north-eastern boundary of Rotomahana-Parekarangi No. 3A 3A 3B 2C Block, to and along the eastern side of the said Rotorua-Taupo Main Highway to the north-eastern side of the road forming the south-western boundary of Rotomahana-Parekarangi No. 3A 3B 4B 2B and Paeroa East No. 4B 1B 3C 2 Blocks; thence easterly generally along the north-eastern side of the said road and the southern boundaries of Paeroa East Nos. 4B 1B 3C 2, 4B 1B 3B, and 4B 1B 3A Blocks and a right line, being the production of the southern boundary of the last-mentioned block, to the middle of the Waiotapu Stream; thence north-westerly up the middle of that stream to a point being the production westward of the southern side of the road forming the northern boundaries of Sections 24s and 25s, Reporoa Settlement; thence easterly along a right line, to and along the southern side of the said road to the north-eastern corner of Section 25s, Reporoa Settlement aforesaid, along a right line, across another public road, to and along the southern boundaries of Paeroa East Nos. part 4B 1B 1 and part 4B 1A Blocks to the north-western corner of Section 62s of the said settlement; thence southerly along the western boundaries of the said Section 62s and Section 67s of the said settlement to the northern boundary of part Paeroa East No. 4A Block; thence westerly along said northern boundary and a right line, being the production of its western end, to the middle of the Waiotapu Stream; thence northerly up the middle of that stream to its intersection with a right line, being the production north-westward of the south-western boundary of Reporoa Township; thence south-easterly generally along the said right line, to and along the said south-western boundary, the southern side of a public road, and the southern boundary of the Suburbs of Reporoa; thence northerly and north-westerly along the eastern and north-eastern boundaries of the said suburbs and a right line, being the production of the said north-eastern boundary, to the middle of the said Waiotapu Stream; again northerly up the middle of that stream and westerly up the middle of the small stream forming part of the northern boundary of Paeroa East No. 4B 2A 3F 3 Block to the north-western corner of that block; and thence south-westerly generally along the north-western boundary of the said Paeroa East No. 4B 2A 3F 3 Block to and along the northern side of Mangahoanga Road in a generally westerly direction to the point of commencement.

IN pursuance and exercise of the powers vested in him by the Public Works Act, 1928, and of all other powers in anywise enabling him in this behalf, His Excellency the Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council of the said Dominion, doth hereby order and declare that the portions of road described in the Schedule hereto shall, on and after the date of this Order in Council, become Government road.
