Industrial Man-power Emergency Regulations 1944.—Declaration of Essential Industry No. 157
IN pursuance of the powers conferred upon him by Regulation 11 of the Industrial Man-power Emergency Regulations 1944, the Minister of Industrial Man-power doth hereby declare the building and construction of hospitals and school buildings, including alterations and additions thereto, and the building and construction of new houses to be an essential industry.
For the purposes of this declaration the building and construction of hospitals and school buildings, including alterations and additions thereto, and of new houses by any Department of State is hereby declared to be an essential undertaking within the scope of the above industry.

Industrial Man-power Emergency Regulations 1944.—Declaration of Essential Industry No. 158
IN pursuance of the powers conferred upon him by Regulation 11 of the Industrial Man-power Emergency Regulations 1944, the Minister of Industrial Man-power doth hereby declare all work in connection with the construction of hydro-electric generating plant at Karapiro, Maraetai, Kaitawa, and Lake Tekapo to be an essential industry.
For the purposes of this declaration the construction of hydro-electric generating plant at the above-mentioned places by any Department of State is hereby declared to be an essential undertaking within the scope of the above industry.
This declaration applies to all contractors and sub-contractors carrying out any work in connection with the hydro-electric schemes mentioned above, including the provision of accommodation and meals for workers employed on them.

Industrial Man-power Emergency Regulations 1944.—Declaration of Essential Undertaking No. 159
IN pursuance of the powers conferred upon him by Regulation 11 of the Industrial Man-power Emergency Regulations 1944, the Minister of Industrial Man-power doth hereby declare all construction work at the Devonport Naval Base, including all such work being carried out by any Department of State or by any contractor or sub-contractor, to be an essential undertaking for the purposes of those regulations.

Industrial Man-power Emergency Regulations 1944.—Revocation of Declaration of Essential Industry No. 42
IN pursuance of the powers conferred upon him by Regulation 11 of the Industrial Man-power Emergency Regulations 1944, the Minister of Industrial Man-power doth hereby revoke the Declaration of Essential Industry No. 42, as published in the New Zealand Gazette No. 23 of 5th March, 1942.

Industrial Man-power Emergency Regulations 1944.—Revocation of Declaration of Essential Industry No. 57 and Amendments
IN pursuance of the powers conferred upon him by Regulation 11 of the Industrial Man-power Emergency Regulations 1944, the Minister of Industrial Man-power doth hereby revoke the Declaration of Essential Industry No. 57, as published in the New Zealand Gazette No. 30 of 19th March, 1942, together with the amendments thereto, as notified in the New Zealand Gazette No. 52 of 28th May, 1942, and No. 80 of 9th September, 1943.

Industrial Man-power Emergency Regulations 1944.—Revocation of Declaration of Essential Industry No. 136
IN pursuance of the powers conferred upon him by Regulation 11 of the Industrial Man-power Emergency Regulations 1944, the Minister of Industrial Man-power doth hereby revoke the Declaration of Essential Industry No. 136, as published in the New Zealand Gazette No. 38 of the 11th May, 1944.

Notice calling up Reservists for Service with the Armed Forces
National Service Department,
Wellington, 9th August, 1945.
IT is hereby notified for general information that, in pursuance of the powers vested in me by Regulation 44 of the National Service Emergency Regulations 1940, I have, on the 9th August, 1945, issued to—
Thomas John Dawson, Labourer, 90A Don Street, Invercargill, Registration No. 667293, and
Peter Edward Graham, Law Clerk, 18 Washington Avenue, Brooklyn, Registration No. 667007,
notices calling them up for service with the Armed Forces, such persons having been severally convicted for that, being reservists belonging to a division of the Reserve the enrolment of which has been proclaimed, they did fail to make application in writing for enrolment in that class of the Reserve as required by Regulation 43 (1) of the National Service Emergency Regulations 1940.
