Notice of Intention to take Land for a Quarry in Block II, Tangihua Survey District

NOTICE is hereby given that it is proposed, under the provisions of the Public Works Act, 1928, to take the land described in the Schedule hereto for a quarry: And notice is hereby further given that the plan of the land so required to be taken is deposited in the post-office at Whangarei and is there open for inspection; and that all persons affected by the taking of the said land should, if they have any well-grounded objections to the taking of such land, set forth the same in writing, and send such writing, within forty days from the first publication of this notice, to the Minister of Works at Wellington.

APPROXIMATE area of the piece of land required to be taken: 5 acres 3 roods 20 perches.

Being part Section 48.

Situated in Block II, Tangihua Survey District (Auckland R.D.). (S.O. 33605.)

In the North Auckland Land District; as the same is more particularly delineated on the plan marked P.W.D. 121979, deposited in the office of the Minister of Works at Wellington, and thereon coloured blue.

As witness my hand at Wellington, this 1st day of August, 1945.

Transmitting and Receiving Officer for the Service of Notices by Telegraph

IN pursuance of the powers vested in the Minister of Telegraphs by the Post and Telegraph Act, 1928 (hereinafter termed “the said Act”), and by the regulations made on the 12th May, 1914, and published in the New Zealand Gazette on the 21st May, 1914, the following officer, at the address set against his name, is hereby appointed transmitting and receiving officer for the purpose of dealing with all notices by telegram sent under the said Act or regulations, and of signing such certificates in relation to the service of any such notices as are required or authorized to be signed or given under the said Act or the regulations aforesaid :—

Overtime and Holidays Labour Legislation Suspension Order 1941, Variation No. 38

IN pursuance of the Labour Legislation Emergency Regulations 1940, the Minister of Labour doth hereby order as follows :—

  1. This Order may be cited as the Overtime and Holidays Labour Legislation Suspension Order 1941, Variation No. 38.

  2. This Order shall be read together with and deemed part of the Overtime and Holidays Labour Legislation Suspension Order 1941 (hereinafter referred to as the principal Order).

  3. The principal Order is varied as follows, namely: The provisions of the principal Order shall not apply to the workers coming within the scope of either of the awards specified in the following Schedule.

The Essential Building Works Labour Legislation Modification Order 1943 revoked

IN pursuance of the Labour Legislation Emergency Regulations 1940, the Minister of Labour doth hereby revoke as from the day of the date hereof the Essential Building Works Labour Legislation Modification Order 1943* and its amendments.

Classification of Roads in Hobson County

IN pursuance and exercise of the powers conferred on him by the Transport Department Act, 1929, and the Heavy Motor-vehicle Regulations 1940, the Minister of Transport doth hereby approve of the Hobson County Council’s proposed alteration in the classification of the roads as set forth in the Schedule hereto and situated in the Hobson County.

Exemption Order under the Transport Legislation Emergency Regulations 1940

PURSUANT to the Transport Legislation Emergency Regulations 1940, the Minister of Transport doth hereby order and declare that the provisions of clause (1) of Regulation 7 of the Motor-drivers Regulations 1940, so far as they relate to the driving of heavy trade motors, shall not apply to the person hereinafter mentioned, but in lieu thereof the following provision shall apply :—

A motor-driver’s license issued under the Motor-drivers Regulations 1940 to the person described in Column 1 of the Schedule hereunder may authorize him to drive a heavy trade motor for the purpose of the business of the respective employer described in Column 2 of the said Schedule, but shall not authorize him, while he is under the age of eighteen years, to drive a heavy trade motor-vehicle for any other purpose.
