Taking of Fish for Sale
A. Fitness, Puru, Thames Coast, has applied for a license to
permit him to operate his 30 ft. 40 h.p. fishing-vessel (not yet
registered), using set-nets, drag-nets, long lines, hand-lines, and
crayfish-pots, catches to be landed at Thames.
R. J. Watts, 34 Prime Road, Grey Lynn, Auckland, has applied
for a license to permit him to operate the 32 ft. 24 h.p. vessel
“Ripple” (not yet registered), using set-nets, drag-nets, long lines,
and hand-lines, catches to be landed at Helensville.
J. Wright, R.M.D., Upper Moutere, Nelson, has applied for a
license to permit him to operate the 22 ft. 5 h.p. vessel “Tui” (not
yet registered), using set-nets, drag-nets, long lines, hand-lines, and
crayfish-pots, catches to be landed at Riwaka.
I. Franiceric, Wellsford, Auckland, has applied for a license to
permit him to operate his 25 ft. 20 h.p. vessel “Iris” (not yet

Fish Retailing
Mrs. P. E. Bennet, 24 Grey Street, Gisborne, has applied for a
fish-retailer’s license to permit her to sell cooked fish from premises
situated at 256 Gladstone Road, Gisborne, known as the Night
Owl Cafe.
B. Gibb, Fisherman, Tauranga, has applied for a fish-retailer’s
license to permit him to sell wet fish from premises situated in
Main Street, Tauranga.
Manufacture for Sale of Footwear
J. W. Moore and Son, Ltd., Newmarket, Auckland, have
applied for an extension of their existing license for the manufacture
of woman’s shoes by the machine-sewn and fair-stitched methods.
A. A. Ansell and Co., Wellington, have applied for a license
to manufacture footwear by the Veldtschoen processes.
A. Guise, Lambton Quay, Wellington, has applied for a license
to manufacture all types of boots and shoes by processes unspecified,
sales to be confined to applicant’s own shop only.
Persons considering themselves materially affected by the
decision of the Bureau on these applications should make any
desired representations in writing not later than the 19th July,
1945, to G. L. O’Halloran, Secretary, Bureau of Industry, G.P.O.
Box 3025, Wellington.

Declaration of Result of Election of Producers’ Representatives on
the Nelson Raspberry Marketing Committee
I, MAY WAREHAM, Returning Officer for the purposes of the
election of four (4) producers’ representatives for appointment
to the Nelson Raspberry Marketing Committee established
by the Nelson Raspberry Marketing Regulations 1940, made under
the Marketing Act, 1936, and the Agriculture (Emergency Powers)
Act, 1934, do hereby declare the results of the elections on the polls
which closed at Wellington at noon on the 27th day of June, 1945,
for the two vacancies on the Northern Ward and for the two vacancies
on the Southern Ward to be as follows:—
