Transmitting and Receiving Officers for the Service of Notices by Telegraph
General Post Office,
Wellington, 19th June, 1945.
IN pursuance of the powers vested in the Minister of Telegraphs by the Post and Telegraph Act, 1928 (hereinafter termed “the said Act”), and by the regulations made on the 12th May, 1914, and published in the New Zealand Gazette on the 21st May, 1914, the following officers, at the addresses set against their names, are hereby appointed transmitting and receiving officers for the purpose of dealing with all notices by telegraph sent under the said Act or regulations, and of signing such certificates in relation to the service of any such notices as are required or authorized to be signed or given under the said Act or the regulations aforesaid :-

The Servicemen’s Settlement and Land Sales Act, 1943.—Notice declaring Land taken for the Settlement of a Discharged Serviceman
WHEREAS an application has been made for the consent of the Land Sales Court to a transaction which relates to the land described in the Schedule hereto and to which Part III of the Servicemen’s Settlement and Land Sales Act, 1943, applies :
And whereas the Land Sales Committee to which the application has been referred is of opinion that the land to which the application relates is farm land suitable or adaptable for the settlement of a discharged serviceman :
And whereas the said committee, not being satisfied that the Crown had decided not to acquire or arrange for the acquisition of the land, did on the 28th day of May, 1945, make an order determining the basic value of the land and no appeal from the said order was made within the time prescribed by the said Act or within any further time allowed by the Court :
And whereas the said land is not the land of any serviceman who is for the time being serving outside New Zealand in any of His Majesty’s Forces or in any British ship :
Now, therefore, the Minister of Lands, acting in pursuance of section 51 of the said Act, doth hereby declare that the said land is taken for the settlement of a discharged serviceman, and hereby specifies the 16th day of July, 1945, as the date on which the said land shall be deemed to be vested in His Majesty the King.
SCHEDULE
AUCKLAND LAND DISTRICT
ALL that parcel of land containing one hundred and sixty-six (166) acres thirty-eight decimal one (38·1) perches, more or less, being Rangitoto A No. 57B No. 2 Block, situated in Puniu Survey District, and being all the land comprised in certificate of title, Vol. 227, folio 280.
Also all that parcel of land containing twenty-two (22) acres ten (10) perches, more or less, being Rangitoto A No. 57B No. 1 Block, situated in Puniu Survey District, and being all the land comprised in certificate of title, Vol 274, folio 282 (Auckland Registry).

Also all that parcel of land containing one hundred and fifty-eight (158) acres three (3) roods, more or less, being Lot 4 on Deposited Plan 14498, being Allotment 399 and parts Allotments 2, 4, 5, 372, and 373, Parish of Tuhikaramea, and being all the land comprised in certificate of title, Vol. 362, folio 264 (Auckland Registry).

Also all that parcel of land containing seven (7) acres two (2) roods, more or less, being Sections 1, 2, 3, 6, and 8, Block V, Village of Lichfield, Selwyn Settlement, being formerly part Mangarautawhiri Block, and being all the land comprised in certificate of title, Vol. 666, folio 181.
Also all that parcel of land containing fourteen (14) acres, more or less, being Sections 1, 2, 3, and 4, Block IV, Lichfield Village, Selwyn Settlement, being formerly part Mangarautawhiri Block, and being all the land comprised in certificate of title, Vol. 666, folio 174.
Also all that parcel of land containing six (6) acres two (2) roods, more or less, being Sections 4, 5, 7, and 9, Block V, Lichfield Village, Selwyn Settlement, and being all the land comprised in certificate of title, Vol. 485, folio 181 (Auckland Registry).
