HIS Excellency the Governor-General has been pleased to approve of the following appointments, promotions, transfers, and relinquishments of temporary and acting rank of officers of the 2nd New Zealand Expeditionary Force:—

TEMPORARY RANK RELINQUISHED
Staff

Colonel (temp. Brigadier) G. H. Clifton, D.S.O., M.C., relinquishes the temporary rank of Brigadier and assumes the acting rank of Brigadier. Dated 28th April, 1945.

APPOINTMENT (TEMPORARY)
N.Z. Engineers

Temp. Lieutenant W. A. J. Gorrie is seconded from the Territorial Force. Dated 17th May, 1945.

APPOINTMENT (SUBSTANTIVE)
N.Z. Engineers

Lieutenant W. A. J. Gorrie, and is seconded without pay for attachment to the Royal Engineers in India. Dated 24th May, 1945.

PROMOTIONS
N.Z. Artillery

Lieutenant R. McD. Morton, D.C.M., to be Captain, and is seconded for special duty. Dated 14th May, 1945.

N.Z. Dental Corps

Temp. Major J. C. M. Simmers to be temp. Lieutenant-Colonel, and remains seconded to the Royal N.Z. Air Force. Dated 27th May, 1945.
