Notice to Persons affected by Applications for Licenses under Part III of the Industrial Efficiency Act, 1936
Taking of Fish for Sale
J. R. G. Stammers, 65 George Street, New Brighton, Christchurch, has applied for a license to permit him to operate his 30 ft. 25 h.p. fishing-vessel “Liberty” (not yet registered), using trawl-nets, set-nets, drag-nets, long lines, hand-lines, and crayfish-pots, catches to be landed at Lyttelton and Akaroa.
D. Smith, Huia Street, Riccarton, has applied for a license to permit him to operate his fishing-boat (not yet registered), using set-nets and drag-nets, catches to be landed at Lake Ellesmere.
F. F. Guy, 19 Vanguard Street, Nelson, has applied for a license to permit him to operate a 36 ft. fishing-vessel (not yet registered), using trawl-nets, set-nets, drag-nets, long lines, hand-lines, and crayfish-pots, catches to be landed at Nelson.
National Mortgage and Agency Co. of N.Z., Ltd., Box 275, Dunedin, have applied for a variation of their existing license in respect of the “Nora Niven,” DN. 62, so as to permit them to operate in its place two 57 ft. 120 h.p. vessels (to be built), using trawl-nets, catches to be landed at Port Chalmers.
Export of Fish
Golden Bay Fish Co., Ltd., High Street, Motueka, have applied for a license to carry on the industry described as the export of fish.
Manufacture for Sale of Footwear
Ross and Glendining, Ltd., Dunedin, have applied for permission to machine footwear uppers at Invercargill.
C. A. Mason and Son, 411 New North Road, Auckland, have applied for a variation of their existing license to manufacture men’s, youth’s, women’s, and maids’ sandals by the machine-sewn, stitched, and cemented processes.
Persons considering themselves materially affected by the decision of the Bureau of Industry on these applications should make any desired representations in writing not later than the 21st June, 1945, to G. L. O’Halloran, Secretary, Bureau of Industry, G.P.O. Box 3025, Wellington.

LAND TRANSFER ACT NOTICES
EVIDENCE of the loss of the outstanding duplicate of occupation license, registered as Vol. 701, folio 41, of the Register-book (Auckland Registry), for Allotment 441 of the Parish of Paremoremo, whereof JOHN BROWN, of Albany, Farmer, is the registered licensee, having been lodged with me together with an application to issue a provisional copy in lieu thereof, notice is hereby given of my intention to issue such provisional occupation license after fourteen days from 7th June, 1945.

Ordinary Weekly Gazette: For the first 32 pages, 9d., increasing by 3d. for every subsequent 16 pages or part thereof; postage, 1d.
Supplementary and Extraordinary Gazettes: For the first 8 pages, 6d.; over 8 pages and not exceeding 32 pages, 9d., increasing by 3d. for every subsequent 16 pages or part thereof; postage, 1d.
Advertisements are charged at the rate of 6d. per line for the first insertion, and 3d. per line for the second and any subsequent insertions.
All advertisements should be written on one side of the paper, and signatures, &c., should be written in a legible hand.
The number of insertions required must be written across the face of the advertisement.
The New Zealand Gazette is published on Thursday evening of each week, and notices for insertion must be received by the Government Printer before 12 o’clock of the day preceding publication.
