NOTICE is hereby given that a general meeting of the company will be held at the office of the liquidator, 306–308 Dingwall Building, Queen Street, Auckland, on Wednesday, the 13th June, 1945, at 11 o’clock a.m.

Business

Consideration of the liquidator’s account showing how the winding-up has been conducted and the property of the company has been disposed of, and the liquidator’s explanations thereon.
To dispose of, by extraordinary resolution, the books and papers of the company and of the liquidator.

WAITEMATA ELECTRIC-POWER BOARD

RESOLUTION MAKING SPECIAL RATE

Waitemata Electric-power Board Workers’ Dwellings Loan, 1944, of £9,000

IN pursuance and in exercise of the powers vested in it in that behalf by the Electric-power Boards Act, 1925, the Local Bodies’ Loans Act, 1926, section 15 of the Statutes Amendment Act, 1938, and amendments and regulations made thereunder, respectively, the Waitemata Electric-power Board hereby resolves as follows :—

“ That, for the purpose of providing half-yearly instalments of principal and interest and other charges on a loan of £9,000 (nine thousand pounds), authorized to be raised by the Waitemata Electric-power Board under the above-mentioned Acts, for the purpose of acquiring land and erecting six dwellings thereon for employees, the Waitemata Electric-power Board hereby makes and levies a special rate of 1/90th (one-ninetieth) of a penny in the pound upon the rateable value (being the capital value) of all rateable property within the whole of the Waitemata Electric-power District, as defined in the Proclamation proclaiming the said district appearing in the New Zealand Gazette dated the 18th day of October, 1923, and altered by Proclamations appearing in the New Zealand Gazettes dated the 27th day of November, 1924, the 26th day of August, 1926, the 7th day of March, 1929, and the 24th day of January, 1935 ; and that such special rate shall be an annually recurring rate during the currency of such loan and shall be payable yearly on the 1st day of March in each and every year during the currency of such loan, being a period of 25 (twenty-five) years or until the loan is fully paid off.”

I hereby certify that the above is a true and correct extract from the minutes of proceedings of the Waitemata Electric-power Board at a meeting held on Monday, 21st May, 1945.

NOTICE is hereby given that at an extraordinary general meeting of the above-named company, held in the Board Room of Amalgamated Brick and Pipe Company, Limited, Queen’s Arcade Building, Auckland, on Wednesday, 23rd May, 1945, the following special resolution was passed :—

“ That the company be wound up voluntarily.”

It was further resolved—

“ That JOHN LEONARD BEANEY STEVENS, Public Accountant, of Auckland, be appointed liquidator.”

All persons or companies having claims against the above company are requested to send full particulars thereof to the undersigned on or before the 21st day of June, 1945, otherwise they may be excluded from participation in any distribution of assets.

NOTICE is hereby given that at a special general meeting of the Waipukurau Transport Company, Limited, held in the Oddfellows’ Hall, Waipukurau, at 3 p.m. on Tuesday, 22nd May, 1945, the shareholders passed the following resolutions :—

“ That the Waipukurau Transport Company, Limited, be voluntarily wound up.”

“ That CLAUDE RICHARD WATSON, Public Accountant, Waipukurau, be and is hereby appointed liquidator.”

RESOLUTION MAKING SPECIAL RATE OF ONE HALFPENNY (½d.) IN THE POUND (£) AS SECURITY FOR THE DUNEDIN CITY CONVERSION LOAN FOURTH REPAYMENT LOAN, 1945, OF £84,400

IN pursuance and exercise of the powers vested in it in that behalf by the Local Bodies’ Loans Act, 1926, the Dunedin City Council hereby resolves as follows :—

“ That, for the purpose of providing the interest and other charges on a loan of £84,400, authorized to be raised by the Dunedin City Council under the above-mentioned Act, for the purpose of repaying portion of the City of Dunedin Conversion Loan, 1934, the said Dunedin City Council hereby makes and levies a special rate of one halfpenny (½d.) in the pound (£) upon the rateable value (on the basis of the annual value) of all rateable property of the City of Dunedin, comprising the whole of the said city ; and that such special rate shall be an annually recurring rate during the currency of such loan and be payable yearly on the first (1st) day of June in each and every year during the currency of such loan, being a period of three (3) years or until the loan is fully paid off.”

I hereby certify that the above is a true and correct copy of the resolution passed by the Dunedin City Council on Monday, 21st May, 1945.
