Notice of Intention to take Leasehold Estate or Interest in Land for
Buildings of the General Government in the Borough of Rotorua

NOTICE is hereby given that it is proposed, under the provisions
of the Public Works Act, 1928, to take the leasehold estate
or interest in the land described in the Schedule hereto, held from
His Majesty the King by Joann Griffiths, of Rotorua, Married
Woman, and the Public Trustee, under Lease No. 55 (Auckland
Registry), for buildings of the General Government: And notice
is hereby further given that the plan of the land in respect of which
the leasehold estate or interest is required to be taken is deposited
in the post-office at Rotorua and is there open for inspection; and
that all persons affected by the taking of the said leasehold estate
or interest should, if they have any well-grounded objections to the
taking of such leasehold estate or interest, set forth the same in
writing, and send such writing, within forty days from the first
publication of this notice, to the Minister of Works at Wellington.

SCHEDULE

APPROXIMATE area of the piece of land in respect of which the
leasehold estate or interest is required to be taken: 2 roods.
Being Sections 1 and 2, Block XVI, Town of Rotorua.

In the Auckland Land District; as the same is more particularly delineated on the plan marked P.W.D. 121560, deposited in
the office of the Minister of Works at Wellington, and thereon
coloured red.

Notice of Intention to take Land for the Purpose of Preserving the
Scenic Attractions of the Waitakerei Scenic Drive

PURSUANT to the provisions of the Public Works Act, 1928,
and section 31 of the Finance Act (No. 3), 1944, notice is
hereby given that it is proposed to take the land described in the
Schedule hereto for the purpose of preserving the scenic attractions
of the Waitakerei Scenic Drive: And notice is hereby further
given that the plan of the land so required to be taken is deposited
in the post-office at Auckland and is there open for inspection;
and that all persons affected by the taking of the said land should,
if they have any well-grounded objections to the taking of such
land, set forth the same in writing, and send such writing, within
forty days from the first publication of this notice, to the Minister
of Works at Wellington.

APPROXIMATE area of the piece of land required to be taken:
95 acres 2 roods 1·1 perches.

for a Post-office

NOTICE is hereby given that it is proposed, under the provisions
of the Public Works Act, 1928, to execute a certain public
work—-to wit, the construction of a post-office—and for the purposes
of such public work the land described in the Schedule hereto is
required to be taken: And notice is hereby further given that the
plan of the land so required to be taken is deposited in the post-
office at Whangarei and is there open for inspection; and that
all persons affected by the execution of the said public work or by
the taking of the said land should, if they have any well-grounded
objections to the execution of the said public work or to the taking
of such land, set forth the same in writing, and send such writing,
within forty days from the first publication of this notice, to the
Minister of Works at Wellington.

of-way in the Town of Grahamtown for an Aerodrome

NOTICE is hereby given that it is proposed, under the provisions
of the Public Works Act, 1928, to take for an aerodrome
the land described in the First Schedule hereto, together with the
right-of-way appurtenant thereto over the land described in the
Second Schedule hereto created by conveyance deposited in the
Deeds Register Office, Auckland, under No. 327693: And notice
is hereby further given that the plan of the land affected is
deposited in the post-office at Whangarei and is there open for
inspection; and that all persons affected by the taking of the said
land or of the said right-of-way should, if they have any well-
grounded objections to the taking of such land or of such right-
of-way, set forth the same in writing, and send such writing, within
forty days from the first publication of this notice, to the Minister
of Works at Wellington.

FIRST SCHEDULE

APPROXIMATE area of the piece of additional land proposed to be
taken: 1 rood 5 perches.
Being Lot 5, Deeds Plan No. P. 39, being portion of Allotments
207, 208, and 209, Town of Grahamtown; edged blue.

SECOND SCHEDULE

APPROXIMATE area of the piece of land over which the above-
mentioned right-of-way is proposed to be taken: 12·5 perches.
Being part Lot 8, Deeds Plan No. P. 39; edged red.

Situated in the Onerahi Town District (Auckland R.D.).

In the North Auckland Land District; as the same are more
particularly delineated on the plan marked P.W.D. 121550, deposited
in the office of the Minister of Works at Wellington, and thereon
coloured as above mentioned.

The Servicemen's Settlement and Land Sales Act, 1943.—Notice
declaring Land taken for the Settlement of a Discharged
Serviceman

WHEREAS an application has been made for the consent of the
Land Sales Court to a transaction which relates to the land
described in the Schedule hereto and to which Part III of the
Servicemen's Settlement and Land Sales Act, 1943, applies:

And whereas the Land Sales Committee to which the application
has been referred is of opinion that the land to which the application
relates is farm land suitable or adaptable for the settlement of a
discharged serviceman:

And whereas the said committee, not being satisfied that the
Crown had decided not to acquire or arrange for the acquisition of
the land, did on the 20th day of April, 1945, make an order
determining the basic value of the land and no appeal from the said
order was made within the time prescribed by the said Act or within
any further time allowed by the Court:

And whereas the said land is not the land of any serviceman
who is for the time being serving outside New Zealand in any of
His Majesty's Forces or in any British ship:

Now, therefore, the Minister of Lands, acting in pursuance of
section 51 of the said Act, doth hereby declare that the said land
is taken for the settlement of a discharged serviceman, and hereby
specifies the 27th day of June, 1945, as the date on which the said
land shall be deemed to be vested in His Majesty the King.

SCHEDULE

AUCKLAND LAND DISTRICT

ALL that parcel of land containing two hundred (200) acres, more
or less, being Lot 1 on Deposited Plan 7380, being part Hangawera
Block, situated in Maungakawa Survey District, and being all the
land comprised in certificate of title, Vol. 187, folio 261 (Auckland
Registry).

As witness my hand, this 14th day of May, 1945.
