  • These rates will apply to consignments accepted for conveyance for the rail portion of the journey as either parcels or goods traffic.

The charges scheduled above cover delivery to specified points on the main road only. In the case of deliveries involving a diversion from the main road a surcharge may be made by the Manager, Railway Road Services, Kaitaia, for any extra running involved.

Goods may also be accepted for conveyance to the following points beyond Kaitaia:—

Herekino, Ahipara, Pukepoto, Fairburns, Kaiaka, Peria, Oruru, Kaingaroa, Waipapakauri, Parapara, Taipa, Mangonui, Paranui.

Charges will be entered on consignments to the place mentioned as under:—

Truck Lots.—Minimum quantity, 4 tons: At special through rate by arrangement with Manager, Railway Road Services, Kaitaia.

Smaller Lots.—Charge to Kaitaia only. Manager, Railway Road Services, Kaitaia, will arrange delivery by connecting services which will collect own charges.
