Additional Land near Riverton taken for the Purposes of the Western Railways

A PROCLAMATION
WHEREAS it has been found desirable for the use, convenience,
and enjoyment of the Western Railways to take further
land near Riverton in addition to land previously acquired for the
purposes of the said railway:
Now, therefore, I, Cyril Louis Norton Newall, the Governor-
General of the Dominion of New Zealand, in exercise of the powers
and authorities conferred on me by sections thirty-four and two
hundred and sixteen of the Public Works Act, 1928, and of every
other power and authority in anyway enabling me in this behalf,
do hereby proclaim and declare that the land described in the
Schedule hereto is hereby taken for the purposes above mentioned.
SCHEDULE
APPROXIMATE area of the piece of land : 5Β·4 perches.
Part Section 10, Block I, Jacobs River Hundred.
Situated in Wallace County. (S.O. 5607.)
In the Southland Land District; as the same is more particu-
larly delineated on the plan marked L.O. 7669, deposited in
the office of the Minister of Railways at Wellington, and thereon
coloured blue.
Given under the hand of His Excellency the Governor-General
of the Dominion of New Zealand, and issued under the
Seal of that Dominion, this 11th day of January, 1945.

Leasehold Estate or Interest in Land taken for Post and Telegraph
Purposes in the City of Christchurch

A PROCLAMATION
IN pursuance and exercise of the powers and authorities vested in
me by the Public Works Act, 1928, and of every other power
and authority in anyway enabling me in this behalf, I, Cyril Louis
Norton Newall, the Governor-General of the Dominion of New
Zealand, do hereby proclaim and declare that the leasehold estate
or interest in the land described in the Schedule hereto, held from His
Majesty the King by Emily Elizabeth Cross, Caroline Bessie Knowles,
Edith Margaret Sheppard, and Olive Isabel Cummins under and by
virtue of lease registered under number 10498, Canterbury Registry,
for a term of twenty-one years from the second day of July, one
thousand nine hundred and thirty-eight, is hereby taken for Post
and Telegraph purposes; and I do also declare that this Proclamation
shall take effect on and after the twenty-third day of January,
one thousand nine hundred and forty-five.
SCHEDULE
APPROXIMATE area of the piece of land in respect of which the
leasehold estate or interest is taken : 1 rood 18 perches.
Being Town Section 1076 and part Town Section 1078.
Situated in the City of Christchurch (Canterbury R.D.).
In the Canterbury Land District; as the same is more particu-
larly delineated on the plan marked P.W.D. 120300, deposited in
the office of the Minister of Works at Wellington, and thereon edged
red.
Given under the hand of His Excellency the Governor-General
of the Dominion of New Zealand, and issued under the Seal
of that Dominion, this 10th day of January, 1945.

District

A PROCLAMATION
IN pursuance and exercise of the powers and authorities vested
in me by the Public Works Act, 1928, and of every other
power and authority in anyway enabling me in this behalf, I,
Cyril Louis Norton Newall, the Governor-General of the Dominion
of New Zealand, do hereby proclaim and declare that the land
described in the Schedule hereto is hereby taken for a Native
school; and*I do also declare that this Proclamation shall take
effect on and after the twenty-third day of January, one thousand
nine hundred and forty-five.
SCHEDULE
APPROXIMATE area of the piece of land taken: 4 acres 0 roods
1Β·2 perches.
Being part Section 9.
Situated in Block VIII, Whangape Survey District (Auckland
R.D.). (S.O. 3335.)
In the North Auckland Land District; as the same is more
particularly delineated on the plan marked P.W.D. 120323, deposited
in the office of the Minister of Works at Wellington, and thereon
coloured yellow.
Given under the hand of His Excellency the Governor-General
of the Dominion of New Zealand, and issued under the
Seal of that Dominion, this 12th day of January, 1945.
