Revocation of Appointment of certain Garage-proprietor for Issue of Warrants of Fitness

IN terms of Regulation 11 of the Traffic Regulations 1936, and of all other powers enabling me in that behalf, I, James O’Brien, Minister of Transport, do hereby revoke the approval of the person and firm described in the Schedule hereto for the purposes of the issue of Warrants of Fitness for motor-vehicles.

to be Assistant Land Registrar for the District of Marlborough pursuant to section 4 of the Land Transfer Act, 1915, and Deputy Registrar of Deeds for the District of Marlborough pursuant to section 6 of the Deeds Registration Act, 1908, on and from the 9th day of April, 1945.

George Edelman

to be a Ranger for the purposes of the Animals Protection and Game Act, 1921–22, and an officer for the purposes of Part II of the Fisheries Act, 1908, for the Rotorua Acclimatization District, on and from the 4th day of April, 1945.

Appointing the Time and Place of the First Meeting of the Poverty Bay Catchment Board

IN pursuance and exercise of the powers conferred by the Soil Conservation and Rivers Control Act, 1941, the Minister of Works doth hereby appoint Tuesday, the 24th day of April, 1945, at 10 o’clock a.m. as the time, and the Cook County Council Chambers at Gisborne as the place, of the first meeting of the Poverty Bay Catchment Board.

Appointing the Time and Place of the First Meeting of the Rangitikei Catchment Board

IN pursuance and exercise of the powers conferred by the Soil Conservation and Rivers Control Act, 1941, the Minister of Works doth hereby appoint Monday, the 16th day of April, 1945, at 1.30 o’clock p.m. as the time, and the Rangitikei County Council Chambers at Marton as the place, of the first meeting of the Rangitikei Catchment Board.

Fixing Date on which certain Returns under the Fire Brigades Act, 1926, are to be furnished to the Stratford Fire Board

PURSUANT to section 28 of the Fire Brigades Act, 1926, it is hereby notified that the returns showing the total gross amount of the premiums received by or due to fire-insurance companies during the year ended 31st December, 1944, in respect of insurances held by such companies within the Stratford Fire District shall be transmitted to the Stratford Fire Board in the manner prescribed by the said section on or before the 16th day of May, 1945.

Approval of Expenditure by the Wellington City Council of Compensation-moneys under the Thorndon Reclamation Act, 1921–22

HIS Excellency the Governor-General in Council has been pleased to approve, in terms of section 6 (4) of the Thorndon Reclamation Act, 1921–22, of the expenditure by the Wellington City Council from the balance of the compensation-money held under that Act, for the purpose of providing recreation facilities for the City of Wellington, of the sum of £520 as portion of cost of erection of bathing-sheds at Princess Bay, and the sum of £434, together with interest accruing on the compensation-moneys for the time being unexpended, as portion of cost of effecting improvements to Thorndon Baths.
